i know the results havent gone for sanchez but sacking him, he bought lots of players in the summer, it does take time for them to settle...

He has bought crap. The Northern Ireland lads have dreadfully let him down, typified by Healy missing an open goal against Sunderland ultimately costing us three points.

Sounds like the same as when Dowie went to Charlton last season.

Football doesn't work like that .... Arsenal missed two! Bet you'd take Fabregas though.

Anyway all NI players inc Healy were prob gambles from the lower leagues and quite understandably are finding it tougher in the Prem.

Ranson's involvement suggests his Southampton bid has faltered - as suggested a week ago or so.

Why anyone would want to buy a £38 million debt is beyond me.

Despiration i think.

Ranson has a fortune of £32m to quote that article and that wouldn't be enough to pay off the debts, never mind buy the ricoh as well. I wish they would just go into administration and start selling players.

Fulham and Sunderland both spent around £20m on players from lower divisions/ lowly Prem clubs who appeared might have the potential to come good as a Prem team.

Only the most unlikely of the crop, Kenwyne Jones, seems to have made the grade.

Roy Keane has admitted that had he had this summer's transfer budget to spend over again, he would have spent it in different ways and gone for players with Premiership pedigree.

If Souey is going to Fulham, is he being given a budget. I would think he'd get less than 50% of this summer's outlay if he were to put the current Fulham squad back on the market.

Don't know anything about Coventry's details but for Geoffrey Robinson MP to resign as Chairman before a sale or refinancing screams "basket case" to me.

Same amount as spent in the summer I think...

Sanchez to be gone if Fulham lose against Reading....................................Graeme Souness already been interviewed....

For what it's worth the second part of that is wrong. Souey has not been near the place.

That's not what I've been told but am I right to believe the first part then?

I cannot see it but has Alf been awol at all? I dont seem to rem it being mentioned that ever Ramos came to London in the summer but Levy et al were widely reported as being seen in Spain.

... only so you winnings become a step closer :rover:

You'll get a drink posted to you, so quit your moaning!

Mifsud is a quality player in the championship, not sure he would make the step up though. He is the only thing stopping Cov being in a relegation battle as it is.

Nicko,

I presume (hope) we are one of the half dozen clubs looking at D'Alessandro? Or is it just an agent trying to bump up fees/wages?

he seemed like a good player at Pompey

also, an arrogant liitle git by the looks of him. he would be alright if he could toughen up to play down the middle though. i would question the fact that he has never really settled though.

I've not heard it, but there's no doubt he is a classy player - and you could do with an extra body in midfield the way things are shaping.

However the fee for a full-time move looks steep. The fact that his agent is blasting out the info tells me there are NO takers just yet.

Watch that space.

I also hear Tom Huddlestone may have slipped down the shopping list after his show on Sunday. So there is a vacancy.

Am I right to believe Sanchez is a goner when we lose against Reading?

Checking - but my gut feeling is that Fayed will back him for a while longer yet.

If there was a change I think Paul Jewell would be favourite. They wanted him when Coleman was in charge. He is free and available...although a move to Middlesbrough could be top of his agenda right now.

Wouldn't have thought Jewell would be up for another relegation scrap.

Chances are his next job will be at a club in crisis somewhere.

You can't be too choosy or you can be quickly forgotten.

Indeed. Just heard that maybe there is a slight chance Pako Aysterian (the ex liverpool assistant fella) could be in line for the job. Rumours are certaintly building.

Should you happen to get an application from a certain Stephen Kenny and you want to know more about him, just PM me and I will give the you the full lowdown. (PM because I don't wish to be sued for libel)

spurs have good players, but with some, i get the feeling they love london more, then being a footballer..ie jermaine jenas-obviously he is talented, but at spurs doesnt show it, a move out of london would probably sort his career out..
