Have you actually thought that Nicko may have been at a game tonight? Or he may justhave a social life?
vintageadidas Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 I very much doubt we will sell anyone, we don't need to. The only way it will happen is if it brings in funds to buy someone else. We need to save up for the summer and get that Zarate that Birmingham have got on loan. He played 25 minutes tonight and looks VERY useful, although his club want £20m I also thought he looked VERY useful and also showed alot of grit and determination to try and get them back into the game. How the hell have Brum managed to get him, even on loan. I know you cannot judge someone for 25 minutes, but i was well impressed with him. Birmingham are a very poor team, he looked a class above.

Most will tell you Nolan has done nothing for almost 18 months and they're all rather sick of him. He got booed by sections of the crowd the other week. He may look good for the odd burst on TV but I'll take the opinion of people who watch him week in week out that he's pants now.
vintageadidas Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 That Zarate reminds me of myself a few years ago
simcla Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Most of us are people who know about the Caps Lock key!

doctorryan Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 The source was the same guy who told me Roque was coming...so I'll take his word on the basis of form. What is obvious is that the guy has been hawked around and had no takers - yet.
nicko Posted January 29, 2008 Author Posted January 29, 2008 Social life? Been at Preston v West Brom which was actually terrific. So much news, so little time. TROTMAN - Oldham agreed a £500,000 deal with Preston and he has met them. Rovers have been informed, so it's up to them. Mawene was sent off and injured tonight, so they will push for that tomorrow. Interesting to see if the Rovers inquiry was just out of curiosity. MACEDONIAN - Gone. CHILEAN - If he is going to Fenerbahce then so be it. LAFFERTY - Rangers are in and offering lots of cash - Celtic are fuming. It will take £4 million. KOUMAS - Still have a hunch this will be the only business if the oprice drops. ROBERTS - Hear his name being whispered in some places, but he will only go if there is a replacement. FIFA - Can't believe COUSIN deal was blocked when others have played for three clubs. That means FAYE won't move either. Or the MARCUS BENT rumour that had my head spinning more than Leeds United's events. GILES BARNES - Derby want £5 million. No thanks. CAHILL - Should go to Birmingham and not Bolton...why the fuss? So, in short, not much happening but a whole lot of messing about. Nothing new, then.
Hasta Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 is it me or does that sound awfully familiar? I did nearly put that in my post.
T4E Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 LAFFERTY - Rangers are in and offering lots of cash - Celtic are fuming. It will take £4 million. Is this reliant on one of the Cousin or Hutton deals going through? Any idea on the latest on Hutton?
nicko Posted January 29, 2008 Author Posted January 29, 2008 Is this reliant on one of the Cousin or Hutton deals going through? Any idea on the latest on Hutton? Hutton should happen. Cousin is off. Rangers have made a couple of calls today, but I also know they have established which - shall we say foot - Lafferty kicks with. Honest, that has been researched. Celtic are going loopy because of this. It's a tit-for-tat job too as Celtic pinched Samaras from Rangers. Hilarious. Incidentally, good Championship results tonight for those with a small investment in the affairs of your country cousins...

NICO willam said in the telegraph hughes not after a centre half .so i cant that happening then
nicko Posted January 29, 2008 Author Posted January 29, 2008 NICO willam said in the telegraph hughes not after a centre half .so i cant that happening then I know they made an inquiry about Trotman yesterday...as a fact.
T4E Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Celtic are going loopy because of this. It's a tit-for-tat job too as Celtic pinched Samaras from Rangers. Hilarious. Hence my interest. If Rangers can do in Celtic and Burnley in one fell swoop it'll be a winner in my eyes.
Mozzer Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 why do celtic need strikers..they have about 7 already-and most of them have been signed in the last 2 seasons..so they get samaras and want lafferty.. is alan hutton being pushed out of rangers???
tony gale's mic Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 what a depressing transfer window. we lose one first team player and dont bring any in.
nicko Posted January 29, 2008 Author Posted January 29, 2008 Hence my interest. If Rangers can do in Celtic and Burnley in one fell swoop it'll be a winner in my eyes. If Burnley get £4 million it is too good to refuse. Allegedly.

Strachan thinks he needs better and does not rate some - Vennegoor might be on his way and he ignores Riordan constantly. Hutton is another who is costing so much that it just makes sense. It is stupid money for a right back.
