Might be something in this!

SANTIAGO, July 18 (Reuters) - Chile international midfielder Carlos Villanueva is to join English Premier League Blackburn Rovers, his club Audax Italiano said on Friday.

"The directors of Audax Italiano informed that this morning they reached a complete agreement with Blackburn Rovers for the transfer of Carlos Villanueva for the 2008/09 season," the club said on its website

Rovers offer Brad new contract but he slaps in a transfer request whilst Ince is planning to leave- yes its the Star

Brum paper once again shows how the regional papers routinely break the Trade Descriptions Act when they write their headlines. It confirms Villa are out of the running for Bentley which is why the headline is about confirming interest in Bentley over a big picture of him.

There is zero interest in the Villanueva and Castillo stories- zip, nada, nothing from my quick scan through.

Just a general point, most of the qualities and the BBC are leading on Andrews if they can be bothered with the Rovers at all- it is making our club look so utterly cheap.

Blackburn linked with Stuttgart´s Mexican International Osorio

From that link...

Osorio’s agent Robert Holzer has revealed that Blackburn are interested in his client, with him also confirming that the Mexican would be interested in a move to England.

“I believe Blackburn are interested in Osorio, but there are no concrete offers for him,” Holzer told skysports.com.

“We will wait a few weeks and see what happens, but I am not sure if Stuttgart want to sell him.

“Of course he would be interested in a move to England if he receives an interesting offer, but it all depends on Stuttgart.”

1.14m is Forest target´s price

This link suggests that Rovers will earn half a million from the Joe Garner transfer from Carlisle due to a sell-on clause.
