A cup of beans Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 1800 Allocation. Will we sell that or will it be typical Rovers with about 800 empty seats? i'm expecting us to take a sizeable following. considering that is it the 1st game of the season, and rovers under a new regime. everton is a trip i always make - but i think the main reason we usually take a small following there is; that it is the worst away ground by a mile (for viewing).
Hughesy Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 2 tickets in the bag – in the paddock (un-restricted views) Was on hold for about 10 mins again so someone must be buying! Im there!
gbax Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 2 tickets in the bag – in the paddock (un-restricted views) Was on hold for about 10 mins again so someone must be buying! Im there! It might have been me. Also in the paddock.
OJRovers Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 I got my tickets this morning, hopefully we'll sell out. But having been there a few times before I have to agree that Goodison comfortably wins worst ground in the Premier League for viewing, facilities, drinks (warm&flat Chang beer) etc
Hughesy Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Yeah its a rubbish ground - wonder if they will ever move to the TESCO PARK!? There is a pub not too far from the ground though that is quite good for away fans usually - not sure on the name
Majiball Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 There is a pub not too far from the ground though that is quite good for away fans usually - not sure on the name Its called Asda's isn't it!
roversmum Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Got our tickets - at the front in wheelchair space! Please score again this year, Roque . Steady business at the ticket office.
daveoftherovers Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Was at the ground earlier and there was a sizeable queue! I agree on Goodison being the worst, by a country mile, also the stewarding leaves a lot to be desired! Heard they've just had the big two fingers on the new ground by the government as well. My Everton mates, who incidentally are quite suicidal at the moment, are very worried about their club! No new signings, Andy diver going but Alan Smith to replace him, No chairman, no new ground and Moyes not signing yet? (And you thought we had it bad!)
1864roverite Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Got ours near the front lower going on the 1055 train from Leyland, a few beers in Matthews Street, game then some more beeers Matthews Street before returning at 10pm !! Everyone is welcome to join us as its Mark's 40th !!
philipl Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Everton are saying they expect Saturday's game to be completely sold out.
