BlueMonday Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 I don't give a toss about Diouf's past. Think he would be a good signing for us, will give us lots of options. Go for it BFS. Will get us a few penalties as well

bennyboyt11 Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 looking forward to the 11.30 update Nicko! Hopefully there's a lot of positive movement going on i.e. players coming in strengthening the first XI
gumboots Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Too mature a viewpoint for some I fear. Gumboots you've posted God only knows how many posts in attempts to deny your earlier post so why not simply think a bit more and act a little more grown up before you hit the 'add reply' key in future? Anyway I thought you were never setting foot in Ewood again until Allardyce is sacked? Think I explained sufficiently well earlier why i ended up at Ewood still. Look back if you're interested. And i, like you, don't like people suggesting I've said things I haven't just because they don't read what's written but what they want to think you've actually said.
PAFELL Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Oh yes. OK is it good news, bad news, excellent news or just news we really already know or have worked out. Any hints?
Taggart Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 I don't give a toss about Diouf's past. Think he would be a good signing for us, will give us lots of options. Go for it BFS. I do - the guy is an idiot, can you not remeber what he was like at Ewood ? an born idiot ! but saying that, opinions are there to be changed and if he does the business on the football pitch and keeps his greb in his mouth then who knows !
ebenrocks Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 sky sports confirming that Diouf is having talks with us
ebenrocks Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 ah cmaaan! its not that bad. I've seen him play a number of times this season for sunderland and have to say i've been impressed. Ok he's abit of an idiot, but if he puts in the buisness on the pitch i really couldnt care less. We need everyone we can get to save us from the drop, and that means picking up some bad apples
BuckyRover Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 It's a cultural thing. Give him a break. Let's see what he can do for us.
colbert Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 SSN - diouf in north west In talks with Blackburn at the moment. This is from a sky sports source. Mmm I wonder where that's from!
rovers1995 Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Sky sports news. El-Hadji Diouf in talks with blackburn
my_name_is_Earl Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 I'd like Diouf here. Sure he's repulsive when he spits but he has talent in an area which we desperately require some. Could be a very shrewd purchase if all goes to plan. I must say, i'll be very pleased personally although I can understand why others would have to give him time.
BRFC1995 Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 is ryan taylor off to the barcodes for 800k? newcastle fans seem to think so, worth the money just to be an extra body.......not the best defender but worth a sniff at 800k
cruz Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Probably been said already but let me hit the pro-diouf lobby with this 4 by 10 Just because the game as a whole sold it's soul long ago doesn't mean we should pimp ours and be in favour of signing this sc*mbag I've said my piece
Hughesy Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 is ryan taylor off to the barcodes for 800k? newcastle fans seem to think so, worth the money just to be an extra body.......not the best defender but worth a sniff at 800k Doubt it, we were prepared to pay more and they said he wasnt for sale.
hawkiiz Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Probably been said already but let me hit the pro-diouf lobby with this 4 by 10 Just because the game as a whole sold it's soul long ago doesn't mean we should pimp ours and be in favour of signing this sc*mbag I've said my piece he is not a very exciting signing, but i think its very good biz. look. man city have so much money they dont know how to get rid of it, and they still cant sign anyone spectacular. (not after robinho anyway). because they are in the mess like us. so. you can choose. championship next season or diouf in blue n white?
Greenall_David Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Well i wondered what was happening at brockhall this evening, went up to have a nosey and allerdyce was their, has we saw his car parked in the managers car and looked like jw's was their to. Their was a few others around at 9 o clock this evening were the players park. maybe that's who it is.
cruz Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 so. you can choose. championship next season or diouf in blue n white? Erm the premiership without him, as we are not going down.
SuperStella Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Sunderland striker El Hadji Diouf is reportedly in talks with Blackburn over a proposed move to Ewood Park. (Sky Sports News - 2250 GMT) Tottenham Hotspur have stepped up their efforts to sell Darren Bent by offering the forward to Blackburn Rovers, should they sell Roque Santa Cruz. (The Times - 2228 GMT)
Amo Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Diouf isn't a convicted criminal like Joey Barton. Yeah, he's rough around the edges, but he can give teams a zip in midfield. Something we are seriously lacking.
Hughesy Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Diouf supplying crosses should ensure we dont go down.
hawkiiz Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Erm the premiership without him, as we are not going down. sell him in the summer then. when we know we are safe. right now we are far from safe. we can finish anywhere below arsenal. that says a lot. now he is a fairly good player, and that have to count the most. must be cynical.
nicko Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 OK, then... STRIKER TARGET - The target Sam wants is Peter Crouch. He has always rated him and had made an inquiry. Crouch would obviously cost a lot - over the £9 million that Portsmouth paid - and his wages are big. But they need to sell and you want to buy. It will obviously depend on the fee and the salary, but the growing interest in Roque means this COULD happen. What a coup if you do it. I wish you well. Full details in the fabulous Daily Mirror. ROQUE - Man City have reacted to the Spurs interest, but Harry Redknapp is willing to pay a big sum - the full £20 million. Spurs are also interested in the Robbie Keane idea, but I think Roque is top of their priorities right now. Clearly Roque would love to work with Sparky again, but his City money men are going to have to dig deep to compete. If the Roque bid is big and you can land Crouch - AND make a whacking profit - it is probably the 'double' deal of the window. DIOUF - If you pull the other business off then that becomes acceptable...if not then it is an appalling signing. Anyone who spits on Arjan de Zeeuw deserves to be despised. Wonder if he will be signed in time to make his debut at Middlesbrough where he has 'previous.' NEWCASTLE - Going daft. Kevin Nolan? Are you sure? £4.5 million...for a player the Toon didn't want until 24 hours ago. They are also after Ryan Taylor, a Rovers target of the recent past. All the best. Among other news...FULHAM signing Giles Barnes by the looks of it... Off to my scratcher. Puffed.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Crouch would be a great signing. If we can get that deal sorted then I will be extremely happy!
