Amo Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 If we don't get 3 points at home to Swansea, that means a new manager has to pick them up from tougher games. And WITH three points, we won't HAVE a new manager, which is our only hope of survival. Get it now?

Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Yakubu has been the man. Imagine what he would do if we could defend and we had a proper manager.
SharrockDownSouth Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Funny that so much of the good stuff has come through Vukcevic eh?
AllRoverAsia Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Kean will be unbearable. It will be like we've won the title.
magicalmortensleftpeg Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 To be honest seeing all the people on this MB wishing us to lose makes me sick. I understand why you feel so angry at Kean, but seriously, get over yourselves. Kean isn't going to get fired regardless of what happens so either support the team or dont. I admit that if we had lost today there would have been a potential silver lining IF Kean was to be fired but I care more about Rovers winning than anything else and I really dont believe that Kean is going to get fired anyway. Well done to Yakubu. Didn't think he'd have 10 goals before christmas. Great effort.
Rover Down Under Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 That sending off was soft but we needed it as Swansea were all over us after they switched formations. The Yak is now, I believe, the third leading scorer in the League...and has just been replaced by Eeyore.
martmitch Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 yet with 10 men they still dominate us on the ball and have us penned in our own half
BPF Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 As much as I hate the arse...it feels good to win.
Rover Down Under Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 As much as I hate the arse...it feels good to win. They've been so rare in the last year I've actually forgotten what it feels like to win.
King Kenny's Magic Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Kean will be unbearable. It will be like we've won the title. It's going to be a cringe-worthy week indeed. Judge me now I've got my players back,my great training skills have turned Yakubu into a goal machine, the owners back me blah blah fookin blah. Someone should tell Venky's that he's not the messiah,he's a very naughty boy!
Exiled in Toronto Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 And WITH three points, we won't HAVE a new manager, which is our only hope of survival. Get it now? Get what? That Rao's would have sacked him? That we will get a new manager within days? That the new manager will be any good? That he will be given any money to spend? That we will pick up points against the top 6 away from home under said new manager? I'll have the three points now thanks. And watch the tone please
DanielMB Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Important win for securing our pl status. Hopefully Kean Will still get the sack because with him In charge we Will, ni doubt, lose again at sunderland next sunday
G Somerset Rover Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Such a bitter sweet win. I can imagine Kean's post match presser now, 'we've just smashed a team gunning for Europe. At times we were like barcelona. Top ten here we come'.
eire3382 Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Believe what yo want but this result just pushes us closer to relegation
Andy3809 Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 None of that makes sense. If Kean wins, it will only guarantee him a job for the rest of the season, which in effect will relegate us. So no, it isn't three points towards safety at all. Makes perfect sense. It will not guarntee him the job all season as you say at all. Kean has the backing of the owners somehow and wouldnt be sacked if we lost this game so the only positive is to get the 3 points. Kean will get sacked when the media cause the owners to look bad and lose face. Sad but true. Now I protested everytime and even got on match of the day two holding my banner but the truth is in my opinion that the protests turned the media against us, this results in many slaps on the back for Venkies backing the manager and not removing Kean. This wont change till media opinion changes and unfortunatly the media and pundits love owners that back managers as all are employed by the game and try to create a culture of not sacking underperforming managers and coaches. Hence venkies get respect and slaps on the back by respected people in the game which matters to them more than the fans. If you openly cheer the opposition then you've gone too far and should take a step back for a bit.
2k. Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I understand why some people want us to lose today if it meant that Kean got sacked, however there is no guarantee that would have happened. Like others on here I simply can't want us to lose, despite being as desperate as anyone to get the clown out of the club. What has changed though is I just don't seem to be as happy or excited about winning as I used to be. I believe this to be because i'm dreading his press conference after the game which i'm certain will be excruciating and cringe worthy. Still 3 vital points for us!
sam_rovers Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I'm always ecstatic when we win... but KEAN OUT
AllRoverAsia Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 GReat win and 3 priceless points. However to those who are now feeling brave enough to take advantage of a good win wouldn't it have been better if Kean had gone during the week when he should have and say O'Neil appointed - we would still have won today but with a football manager running the team. All today does is help get Rovers relegated.
Emge Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Delighted about Yakubu, what a great performance by him! But, now what? This means Kean is surely staying? Not good! NOT good! 100 % Rovers - 0 % Kean & Venkys!
Blackburn Ender Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Makes next week's game at Sunderland interesting. Martin O'Neil's first home game. A man you thought we might have attracted once.
RibbleValleyRover Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 KEAN OUT No chance now, the owners won't sack him after a win. Rovers going down.
bestierover Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I'm just happy for the three. The possession stats are very ###### though. As an aside, Andrews scored today.
martypellowe Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Anyone seen the stats? Swansea had 70% of the possession! Outrageous for the home team to only have 30% possession but a good win none the less. Still want Kean out but we all know that's not going to happen any time soon. Also, here's an interesting fact. As it stands, we've scored more goals than any team other than the top 5. If we could sort the defence out we'd be flying by now!
