I've supported the club for over 50 years and for many of those seasons you knew mid-table of whatever division you were in was the best you could hope for. Being realistic is not giving up it's assessing the squad you have, the division you are in and coming to the view that mid-table will be a decent finish. After last season I view mid-table as success.

To be honest after last season a good number of us would take mid table. I do think there is potential for this group of players to settle and Bowyer to get it playing better than we have seen so far. But as I have said its just too early in the season to predict.

PB I love your posts but I disagree with this one. Every new season I suspend reality and believe its going to be a ripper year. Being "realistic" spoils all the fun and makes me grumpy.

The play-offs are an achievable goal I believe.

"Let me get my hands on your mammary glands"

Well done Bob. That took longer than I thought.

There was a Steve Kean version of Frankly Mr Shankly

Frankly, Mr. Biliaji, this position I've held

It pays my way, and it corrodes my soul

I want to leave, you will not miss me

I want to go down in Rovers history

Frankly, Mr. Bilaji, I'm a sickening wreck

I've got the action group breathing down my neck

I must move fast, you understand me

I want to go down in Rovers history, Mr. Biliaji

Fame, Fame, fatal Fame

It can play hideous tricks on the brain

But still I'd rather be Famous

Than truthful or trusting, any day

Any day, any day

But sometimes I'd feel more fulfilled

Making stacks of money with JA who's mentally ill

I want to live and I want to Love

I want to say something that I might be ashamed of

Frankly, Mr. Bilaji, this position I've held

It pays my way and it corrodes my soul

Oh, I didn't realise that you were so gullible

I didn't realise you were so bloody gullible, Mr. Bilaji

Frankly, Mr. Bilaji, since you ask

You are a flatulent pain in the arse

I do not mean to be so rude

Still, I must speak frankly, Mr. Bilaji

Oh, I resign, give us your money !
