den Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Didn't they fulfill that bargain for almost a decade? Do you have psychological evaluations when you sell a house, a car or your old superman underpants on Ebay? How else were they supposed to know the Rao's were reckless fruitloops? By talking to them? Walker would have seen through them from the moment they mentioned Champions League via £5m/ transfer window and a few loans.

bluebruce Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 By talking to them? Walker would have seen through them from the moment they mentioned Champions League via £5m/ transfer window and a few loans. It's a fair point. I can't imagine they said that and the Trust went for it, so either Venkys never brought it up, or the Trust and Venkys never met. Anybody know/remember whether they did? Something that occurs to me, a distant memory...wasn't there a cast-iron agreement on things Venkys would and wouldn't do with the club, as a condition of sale?
T J Hooker Posted June 30, 2015 Author Posted June 30, 2015 Sorry mods, if you have time can you please change the thread title to 'Venkys Vs Jack Walker (the1st 5 years-ish.)' and then delete this post, thanks. Reedy You're A Star Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 For the amount of people he reels in when he posts.. 😆
Mercer Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Jack took one of his simple business rules into football and that was get the very best people for the key jobs and pay them well, the rest should follow. Things could have been different even for this lot if they'd just followed that basic principle. Spot on. Have difficulty recalling any organisation that has dumbed down its structures so quickly and detrimentally. From Shelfy to Bowyer to our Carlisle recruits, so many are, IMV, right at the bottom of the talent ladder.
T J Hooker Posted June 30, 2015 Author Posted June 30, 2015 Ill take that as a compliment Reidy, i cant help being so interesting (I'm sure that is what you meant isnt it😜)
tomphil Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Spot on. Have difficulty recalling any organisation that has dumbed down its structures so quickly and detrimentally. From Shelfy to Bowyer to our Carlisle recruits, so many are, IMV, right at the bottom of the talent ladder. That's one of the problems, most aren't talent just bodies plugging gaps.
