Just shite officiating as per usual. A professional foul is a professional foul and should always be treated as such. 

Like diving, it would be eradicated in a weekend if the refs applied the rules. 

As with everything, it depends on what badge is on the shirt of the player that's committed the foul as to what the decision will be.
