Clearly shouldn't have been played in this one. As I said before the game there is no way I would have done anything other than rested him.

And it seems I was justified in that as he apparently played shit, and they lost anyway.

I've always understood that you're not supposed to end a half whilst a team is actively engaged in an attack. Noticed how you never see a fulltime whistle blown when somebody is about to strike the ball?

I don't know if it's a written rule or an unwritten one, but when I was a kid I was told it was a rule.

Wasn't there a world cup match that a British ref blew-up for half time as one team scored from a corner ? It was a while ago.
