8,700 season tickets sold so far, according to the LT. Was it around 10,000 sold last season, and averaging 12-13 thousand attendances. That means attendances will be around 10- 11 thousand for the coming season. Unless there's a dramatic surge for season tickets in the last week before kick off.

The fans’ forum minutes for the meeting of 22nd July last year quotes the figure as ‘just over 8,900’.

The minutes for the meeting of 16th September (the day tickets went off sale) has the total at 9,141.

Just a continuous deliberate attempt to whittle down the fanbase to nothing so as to reduce the uproar when they inevitably withdraw the club from the league and close it down.

Don't believe it will happen? They've already done it with the women's team, don't be so naive to think they won't do this with the mens.

Just another reason why we need rid of this these rats, its much bigger than just the first 11.

Our fanbase is strong, but it won't be forever with bonkers decisions like this ☝️

VENKYS OUT - NOTHING ELSE MATTERS.

Hope you're well by the way Mike 👍

Fine thanks Gavin.  Just been persuaded to do some consultancy and I have been overwhelmed with so much work that I have had to start saying no to much of it after a week.  A day a week is more than enough.

It is management consultancy……too good for the clowns at Ewood.

VENKYS OUT!!

Perhaps Rovers could try something really novel such as marketing beyond their existing database and even looking beyond the borders of BwD?

PNE are running free soccer schools for kids in Chorley this year with, no doubt, some freebie tickets thrown in to entice the youngsters to Dumpdale.  This is Chorley FFS……a Rovers stronghold for many years.  The Council leader is a rovers fan and the manager of the Westway complex where the sessions are being held is a Rovers fan and a past employee of our Community Trust.

The idea of marketing outside BwD has been raised time and time and time again.  Rovers and the Community Trust refuse to do any work in PR postcodes as it will upset the arrangements they have with competitor clubs.  As the crow flies I live 1 mile from the BwD border and the area was full of Rovers fans - the school kids now get enticed to PNE.

We are officially useless, toothless and careless at marketing.  Which clown(s) heads this up for the club?

I remember Rovers running football camps at schools during the summer and that was 30 years ago.

Rovers should in Chorley, Ribbley valley, Hyndburn, etc. Building that fanbase

So another summer of appalling ST sales it is… but least they’ve sold some kits (before they run out of stock for months, apart from infants as they now don’t stock them to start with).

Over 8.7 ST sales plus all 3 shirts produced have all had good sales figures

I'm sorry, are you suggesting that 8.7 thousand is a good sales figure for Blackburn Rovers season tickets?

Guys was talking about Shirts sales not ST sales

On ST sales is what I expected and given some predictions on here higher than they thought. Some were saying 5 or 6k. The core base will always buy and commit to them. Others need other initiatives to commit whether its 15 game ST or lower price, etc

Of course they're appalling, they're going to be when so many potential buyers are pledging not to buy one.

Why would they be good?

And it seems bussing in thousands of kids last season from a previously disengaged large part of the community has had a real boost on season ticket sales....... 🫣

The normal under this regime yes.

Acceptable? Hell no.

That's what happens after 15 years of unrelenting destruction and mismanagement, continuing today with no CEO, no board worthy of the name, no commercial director and the likes of Pasha, Gestede and Sufi running the club, people who would be nowhere near comparable positions at any other professional outfit, and they know it.

Imagine where we might be with a competent, ambitious, driven ownership and executive.

We don’t have to imagine - we just need to reminisce.
