The South American teams are mid-season so are fully match fit. City wanted nothing to do with the tournament as their early exit proved.

What do Chelsea do now? The Prem season starts in a month. Do they get any time off? Will they have any preseason? 

That is the problem for European teams. I suspect Chelsea will pay for it next season.

I watched quite a lot of it because it's football, the alternative being the Women's Euros.

Chelsea players have 3 weeks off before home friendlies against Bayern Leverkusen and AC Milan on 8th and 10th of August then their first league game against Palace on the 17th.

They paid £65 million for Mudryk who never plays. They’ll probably squander that money as well.

He's currently under investigation for doping. Been suspended since December.
