Maybe Dykes would if played more minutes, he doesn't start many games for Birmingham but he has more goals than their 8m striker who has none, yes none.

I know you probably meant league goals, but...

Unsure as to why you are so fixated on a random signing from another Championship club, yes Kyogo has been a crap signing, youve mentioned it a few times with little context or links to current discussion.

Dykes has not scored many goals across his entire career.

I mentioned Dykes and its was yourself who is no, no, no all the time

little context, really? Kyogo signed for 8m, no goals, their big money signing yet a squad player like Dykes who doesn't start many games has 2 games as he is impact sub. How that for your context?

But how is it relevant to us?

We wouldnt be signing Kyogo. Dykes is behind him, Duksch and Stansfield in the pecking order. If you are using a failed signing who has scored 0 goals as a benchmark to prove that an alternative is good, then that would be incredibly low standards.

My opinion on Dykes spans across a career of an inability to score many goals. We were linked a couple of years ago (was more Nixon bullshit) and I was against it then. He hasnt done anything since to change my mind.

We were linked with him last summer when Eustace wanted him but others didn't. We got Ohashi instead.

It was just a suggestion, that's it all.

I wonder if we will move Sambou Soumano who bid for during the summer and apparently only 6 months on contract or Milan Smit who we will linked to during the final weeks of the window.

If TGH starts instead of Baradji on Monday night then something odd is going on.

Due to us signing him while injured and having to have an operation I wonder if the option fee Is flexible  like we would have to pay a bigger fee the more minutes he has and if he doesn't make a league start before the January window opening then the fee would be cheaper.

I'm surprised he hasn't started a game yet ,I thought he was going to get a start v boro and give Morishita a rest

Why do we need CB cover when we've got Litherland and O'Riordan?

Litherland is filling in at right wing back isn't he? If one of the 3 current CB's gets injured, (always a possibility) we then chuck O'Riordan in and there's no cover for any more injuries or suspensions. Feels a bit thin to me.

He's a CB playing there and it clearly shows.

This formation lives and dies by the quality of its wingbacks. Bringing in a starting LWB and backup for Alebiosu (so we don't run him into the ground) would be amazing.

Sure I heard late Jan/early Feb for a Wharton return? If(I know) him and Carter are available in the next two or 3 weeks, we're going to be well stocked.

Can't really see us signing a centre half if that's the case. I'd suggest if we do sign one, it isn't good news for one or both.

If we were stupid enough to repeat the mistake of putting any reliance on Carter and Wharton then we deserve the inevitable spell of being short that will occur.

We are short not only of regularly available numbers but of quality and balance. We need someone to slot into the middle of the back 3, essentially (I know we played a different formation, but in terms of quality) a massively overdue Hyam replacement.

If Carter comes back and sees out the rest of the season without another injury I'll be very surprised. Likewise with Wharton.

I agree, but I can't honestly see them signing someone unless it's certain that one or both won't play in the near future.

If you add those 2 to the list of centre halves, I'm reckoning 7 including Aitcheson.

what's wrong with McLoughlin in the centre?

For a start, he isnt very good in the air. Even when he wins it, it isnt particularly accurate.

I dont think hes good enough to be the main central defender.

I think he is more suited to the left side.
