Whatever happened to unleaded? I feel like he was the one who mentioned or at least championed this player in the summer.

Throughout the summer and just before, he was particularly strong (both here and on twitter) in saying how well Gestede and co were doing in the market, and how much he disliked Eustace and to a lesser extent the players that left. He mentioned how Eustace didnt want the likes of Gueye, Kargbo etc as if he was wrong to do so. Seems to have vanished having seen how the season has unfolded.

Unleaded has never been a regular poster to begin with in fairness, he usually only pops up around the transfer window periods.

I spotted someone had mentioned it but couldn’t remember who it was. Did they sign a new striker as he seemed to get regular minutes at the start of the season and scored a couple of goals, then he was restricted to 20 mins or less each game. He’s recently had a bit more game time again and scored a few more goals.

Just made me wonder if they signed another forward who had gone to AFCON or got injured.

No they didn't signed a new striker this summer but its appears Olivier Pantaloni has preferred rotate his number 9 using Soumano or Bamba.

He's been on the forum this morning. Maybe doesn't to post or just keeping his thoughts to himself

McLaughlin feels like he is playing central purely out of necessity. When Wharton was fit, a player who also in the past has played left of a back 3, because unlike McLaughlin he is decent in the air and a lot more commanding and dominant.

Theres a bit less reliance on aeriel ability etc if you play left rather than central, and McLaughlin has played at full back throughout last season (because he couldnt make Hulls team as a centre back) so he is used to defending in those areas. We need someone for the centre and then McLaughlin can compete with Pratt down the left.

My opinion on McLoughlin is he is good solid player, odd blip like at Portsmouth. Whether he is better on the left of 3 or central is all debateable

When suggesting players you want to sign chaddy, you seem happy to point out good things they have done at previous clubs. Its only the red flags and the question marks that you seem keen to dismiss as irrelevant.

not at all, but do we know why Sellas preferred him at left back and in the role. Is it similar to how Dan Burn is played at Newcastle at left back or How Eustace played Pickering last season at the start of the season. I can't comment on that.

Obviously its debatable. Thats the point.

I believe that as any Kortrijk players are now playing in the 2nd tier in Belgium rather than the first, they would now no longer qualify for a standard work permit, and would need an ESC unless their international appearances dictate otherwise

I think we can switch Toth from an ESC to a GBE work permit in January to free up 1 slot, but he would be the only one who could be switched (Kargbo, Henriksson & Baradji are the other 3)

I await Wilsden's response 😉

Hello 😀

The most domestic points a Kortrijk player could have at the moment is 12 so yes they’d be an ESC player unless they had enough international points too.

Toth can be switched in January, I don’t think Kargbo can and the other two definitely can’t.

You’re very welcome and Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you too.

Re Kargbo, I’ve just spent time working out his weighted domestic minutes (as he’s played for both us and Cesena within the reference period).

To have enough points to switch him too he’d have to have played in at least 40% of the league minutes he’s been available for.

His percentage (if you can trust my maths!!) is… 40%.

Striker, (along with every other club)...  I'd take a punt on someone from League One or Two ready for the step up.

Suspect we need to lose a few players to free up any sort of budget (transfer fees / wages etc) so could be a challenging January.
