Didn't someone say he played the full 90mins, in a champions league game just 3 weeks ago?

I guess he didn't run around like a headless chicken enough for Val's data to give him the green light.

From the looks of it we still need a striker. The new lad would appear to be more of a right sided wide forward.

Glimt play 4-3-3, so you're correct but he can probably play as a second striker in a 3-5-2 as well. I think if we stick to the say formation and Henriksson is the other alternative, then Jørgensen has to start tomorrow night.

Dont worry we will be "attacking" the transfer window.

Is the guy who coaches our finishing the same guy who sets our transfer strategy

3 at the back never works for us, many managers have tried it in the past, it may be effective for the odd game here and there just to change things up a bit when necessary... But we're a traditional 4 at the back club simple as that, we've gone so far backwards tactically since ismael took charge its ridiculous and he's clearly to lost up his own arse to revert back to a simple back four

Easily the Worst manager since Coyle.

nope ...he's up there with kean and coyle....will be worst by end season

Desperate form and horrific injury crisis, relegation looming, and Rudy's "exciting plan" is two signings, one of whom is a loan we have to play even if he is crap.

Jorgenson seems a decent prospect (by our standards at least), he made more runs in the channel in his 30 minutes against Ipswich than the rest of the team combined over the season (only a slight exaggeration sadly) and has some pace which is good. Might be more a wide-forward than a central striker but could mesh well with Ohashi (similar) and Gudjohnson central.

Cashin had a horrible debut, no question, and while he may be talented and just need nurturing, the signing is unbelievably stupid. We are forced to play him ahead of Pratt who is younger, faster, taller, and on the basis of season so far a better CB, and most important actually our player. The signing is actively detrimental, thanks Rudy.

I said at the start of the window we didn't need a CB, for all our lack of goals our defence has been ok, and Carter is about to be back giving us McLoughlan, Miller, Carter, Pratt, Atcheson, Litherland which is not ideal but manageable. A replacement for Hyam, who we should never have sold, was only CB I would have been interested in, and Cashin is the exact opposite of that; short and slow, not tall and injury proof.

Offloading Gueye was good, but why do we still have Ribeiro and Pickering who Ismael refuses to play? Why not offload them and bring in an actual Wing-Back while Hedges is crippled, and before he leaves on a free when he gets better (shades of Weimann?), because De Neve is the worst positional player I have ever seen in both attack and defense. I said in the match thread god only knows why Kortrijk kept him and loaned out Alebiosu.

CM remains an issue as well, Tronstad has checked out and we refuse to resign him, again god knows why (oh wait yeah our ridiculous self-imposed wage cap; thanks our Billionaire owners), TGH and Forshaw are not good enough and neither should have been signed. Baradji has talent but missed half the season and looks better further forward than CM proper. Henriksson has been another awful Gestede signing, a shame that one as he seemed a decent prospect when we signed him in summer.

Then again, I keep forgetting we support a club run for Suhail's bonus not success on the field...

If we are so obliged to play Henriksson and De Neve etc, it's frustrating that we continue to not play to their '1 trick'.

I'm not saying build a team around them, but De Neve's 1 outlet is to out pace a man and put a cross in yet.  Henriksson is pressing players etc.  Seeing as we intended to start the season with a 4 at the back, you'd think sitting deeper and hoping we play in the break with pace (including new lad) and battle for the ball (Ohashi and Henriksson) would suit more.  The more adept footballers like Tronstad, Cantwell and Baradji could work to that where as currently we're asking limited footballers to adapt to them and it's killing us

Agreed, some of the best away performances came form playing that way with more of a press and then counter type style whilst trying to keep possession for periods as well.

This all out relentless press that hes switched too just isn't working for a number of reasons.

Get back to using the ball and playing a bit of football with the help of a better suited system with players doing what they can manage. It's becoming as daft as JDT's relentless total football from your own penalty area.

But whilst it isn't as wide open at the back it is creating nothing whatsoever up top.

They've been swapped and changed about that much Itheir styles are all merging and we're getting this hotchpotch system were people haven't got a scooby what system/style they are meant to be playing
