Re the second paragraph…

I’d suggest in a majority of cases an under 18 ticket needs to be affordable to the parent(s) not the child.

The man sounds like an absolute moron.

There was more but it seems to have disappeared or i can't find it.

Im bloody surprised that's still up. Good spot.

Im amazed a Club Official would be stupid enough to commit to comments like that about the fan base in print even if only on social media.

By "The make up of the fan base in NO1"

I presume he means predominantly white middle aged working class males without the College education he is referring to. And I assume the behaviour he doesnt like is chanting against the ownership and/or Pasha.

As a white male above a certain age and long standing supporter of the Club who thinks the owners record is terrible and they need to be removed, I find those comments completely repugnant  - even though I attained the level of education he now deems requisite to be able to sit in the Blackburn End.

Ageist, Elitist and overtly racist, all in one fell swoop. Well done.

Did one Fans Group or other sit and listen to that at some point? It should have been grounds for summary dismissal imo.

Dynamite for the Coalition this.

He also chose to plonk those kids right next to the most reactive and agricultural language section of the ground.

Something tells me that's behind his agenda, why not just put the kids back upstairs.

It was a good idea moving the kids there,I sit across the tunnel and the interaction between the players and the kids is great to see, impossible when they were upstairs.

I'd counter that though by saying that people having to vacate their seats to accommodate the family stand wasn't ideal.

Am I imagining things or did the "Family Stand" not use to be a section of JWL? That's where it should be, not in the BBE at all.

Edit: Sorry misunderstood your post.

Fair point but perhaps they should've moved them further along towards the tunnel even if that meant relocating a few others.

Sit them near who they clearly see as riff raff then decide the price out and hope that section moves is muddled thinking beyond any realm of sense.

Because that riff raff whether this prick likes it or not are the life blood of the club. The ones who always show up, many of whom would be at Boro on a Tuesday night in February if we are in the bottom 3.

The ONLY ones often in the ground who make any effort to actually back the team or make a connection with players.

This guy is a blithering idiot.

Certainly nothing special about Hull City, I believe where he came from or Sheffield United, knobhead !

Every club is special to their supporters and local area

Quite rightly, absolute uproar and outrage for a "digital day" Cup tie against Cambridge and now digital ticketing and the lack of choice barely causes a raised eyebrow. Extremely sad.

Just as now, utter contempt for the fans from the Club in full evidence, even with the recently departed and often lamented St. Steven still on the premises.

Cos people had to modernise with the times, yes older fans should be the option.

Whether you attending a concert or comedy night or football game, everything is digital, your bank card on your phone or your tesco clubcard.

only 3 or 4 years I wasn't a fan of watching youtube but only the last couple of years later, I watch loads of things on there including Rovers related podcasts

Family stand is currently JWL towards the BBE but used to be upper BBE before the move

That's not quite correct, you can still pay cash in a supermarket just as you SHOULD still have the CHOICE to pay cash at a football match especially if there's a shit load of availability.

Just because something is becoming increasingly prevalent doesnt mean it's right. Dynamic pricing for example.

BTW I've had a smart phone and watched You Tube for years. Not the same thing at all. Id rather not use the former to pay for stuff.

It should be against the law to not have the option of paying cash, it happened before Internet banking, it should still be an option.

To have a shop selling tickets, yet not accepting cash to pay for them is beyond ridiculous.

But my overall point is everything is moving towards a cashless society and businesses now being card only payment. That's where the market is going to.

It's not really the cash or card aspect that's the main problem with Rovers though. It's the lack of availability, tickets being taken off sale days in advance and you can't just nip up on a spur of the moment decision to go along at the last minute and pay either by cash or card at the turnstile.

you could just nip on the website and buy them before attending and pick your seat.

How many grounds take cash on the turnstile these days?

Does it matter?

How many grounds in the top 2 divisions are over 70% empty?

50% have boycotted already over the past 15 years... about time we made it official.

Timing is shocking, going into a transfer window, but coming from team "Express Yourself" it doesn't surprise me.

I only mentioned the 2023 thread not as a protest against e ticketing but mainly to demonstrate that the Club's disdain for the fans remains absolutely unchanged since 2023. There's been no improvement whatsoever in that respect.

Chaddy has however successfully managed to divert the thread away from the general attitude of the Club and the main issue of whether fans will or will not be boycotting by getting us bogged down in an ultimately pointless debate about cash v cashless ticketing...............

I apologise for my part in it.

Devil's advocate mode:

If we have a terrible January window, is it not too late to do it after that?
