  1. Would be nice if they could have the time and score on screen... Yesterday I checked the time remaining on livescore on my phone (to avoid minimising the screen) and due to a minute or so delay found out we conceded the equaliser
  2. According to livescore.com a certain 'R.D.Vita' scored for Swindon Town. I remember a Championship/Football Manager game where it seemed he would become a star! They cant get them all right, I guess.
  3. Not if he moves from us to, say, Everton, Fulham etc, has a good season and THEN gets signed by a top club.
  4. I think its time to give him a go even if it is on his own. I've blamed our midfield for our lack of goals from strikers in the past, but we have no excuses with hoilett creating chances left right and centre, olsson chipping in with crosses from the left wing, pedersen's set pieces are his only strong point this season, and dunn has contributed some killer passes. We've missed too many opportunities with the current lot of strikers who werent good enough to finish some good deliveries wether they were alone up front or even when we had 3 strikers at once on the field. Rochina alone or with Benjani/RSC against Everton for me.
  5. Whats wrong with FIFA 11's judgement on a player's height ? And if the game gave him a P+ for strength then he might just actually be a strong fella.
  6. Was playing FIFA the other day and as I looked through the results of my search for cheap young talent I came accross Kevin Pezzoni. Looking at his stats its clear to see that he would have been a legend here had BS been in charge at his time at the club. He's 6ft4 and has a personality plus for strength. They dont just give those to anyone in the game and he is a relative nobody in the world of football, so its nice to see his 'talent' recognized. I also looked for the Keita we had in the ranks but no luck. Both were excellent prospects on FM together with Raffaele DeVita.
  7. Has it been mentioned that Francis Jeffers is training with Blackpool?
  8. Has it been mentioned that former Rover galactico Ben Burgess may be playing Premier League football next season ??
  9. Was recently playing FIFA 10 and had a cup match against swindon town. I knew Jonathan Douglas moved there but i was surprised to see former Rovers legend Gordon Greer starting.
  10. Cool. Thanks for the info, fingers crossed then
  11. Super Matt Jansen is yet to play a game for Leigh according to Wiki. At this rate he will never make the World Cup squad !
  12. Is Derbs injured ?? He's only featured in a half hour of football for Olympiakos.
  13. I do have a vhs of garner and lots more players including speedie shearer newell etc... but i dont have the means to upload it. Incase you want to look it up somewhere its called Golden Goals collection Blackburn Rovers, Im lucky Rovers arent popular here because it only cost me Lm1 which is like 1.80 sterling It has goals from 1981 - 1993. Its quite an old vhs so theres no website either.
  14. Upson would be my only choice, i dont see any point in bringing in anyone else from relegated clubs. We are on course to finishing in a UEFA Cup spot or maybe (fingers crossed) Champions League spot, we shouldn't look at relegated clubs we should be looking at teams who are on our level or maybe a little lower. I know relegated players will be ridiculously cheaper but if we are to put up a fight in Europe I think we have to look at better options. I dont think players like Pennant, Heskey etc are going to help improve a team thats aiming for success in Europe when we already have better options warming the bench. I have faith that Hughes will be able to bring in good players at good prices from direct competition. Bellamy and Bentley spring to mind. As for relegated players .... Upson.
  15. i think F.E.A.R and Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit are the best games of this year excluding FM06 and PES5. 50cents game however ..... well, cant say i expected it to be any good, so im not disappointed, wasnt planing on investing any of my time and money on it even though i respect his music talents, he is no max payne
  16. i disagree with having him in the england team, i seriously doubt that he will be getting too many games at arsenal ahead of henry reyes and adebayor. he should just play reserve team football or maybe sub apearances at best, not all players are wayne rooneys and he probably won't find it easy breaking into the first team. i say give him time to grow into a decent player and if all the hype materializes then he will inevitably be picked for the england team. under 21, 17, etc will do him well.
  17. of corse it has ... remember ferdinand denying he took drugs or steroids and then playing a glorious 9 months of football rite after ?! or when keane puppy eyed the fa into believing his tackle on haaland wasnt intentional ? lets be realistic shal we ... as we all well know when we had a player get away wid a harsh challange or dirty play against us he was rightfully punished (bergkamp for instance) players who did deserve to be fined and suspended (neill v liverpool for example) were, a player like mceveley who unintentially broke cisses shin wasnt punished so if the fa wants to charge todd it will and it didnt so just put one of todds smelly socks (from playing hard and giving 110%) in your mouth and put an end to your unsuccessful anti todd campaign !
  18. todd was close to the action in those 4 seconds where we conceded the goal so he is the worst defender we have , end of story .... ... oh wait ! .... i seem to recall the game had another 93 minutes and 56 seconds to it in which Todd was almost flawless... i agree with whoever is saying we should be thankful to have 3 good centre backs because we should. oh and a captain isnt chosen for his footballing skills but rather by his motivational skills getting the team to give that extra 10%. he is chosen for his determination, being robbed of his number 4 shirt being loaned out and then winning his place, his captains armband and the player of the year awards
  19. well done to andy todd and michael gray ... kuqi was far too slow, its tough for bellamy wen his strike partner constantly falls behind. tugay passing wasnt as accurate and piercing as usual but a good performance nonetheless. savage worked hard but didnt do too much more than that apart frm missing that chance (nooooo !!!!) emerton and reid didnt have much chance to impress but did nothing much with the little they had either. bellamy played a good game but had to resort to passing and crossing rather than waiting to finsih which is a good reason to be frustrated ... 2 thumbs up to pedersen for the goal, right footed goal that is .... we defended well but paniced at times and found trouble coming forward, bentley did well bringing up attacks.... as for united, they had their tail between their legs in the opening moments of the game but credit to fletcher for a flawless performance. both teams scored a goal each both were denied clear chances so i guess 1 - 1 was a fair result ... old trafford awaits
