  1. Wow, they seem to really rate him.
  2. Daniel Ayala! DANIEL AYALA! He hates the Saudi's He loves the Rovers DANI AYALAAAAA! He's signed... Discuss.
  3. It's all too nice. Was the same under Gary Bowyer and other managers. Come away from games thinking they haven't played badly but concede 2 and 3 yet always look like scoring. You have to do whatever it takes to get points, playing nice football and getting beat counts for Jack sh*t. Foul high up the pitch, take a yellow card, sometimes take a red if it's late in the game. There's still after almost 10 years of Champ football no commitment to a particular style of play, it's just, get some decent players in, wander out in to the pitch and see what happens. The only real style of play I can recall from Mowbray is when we were knocking long balls to Graham with Dack picking up 2nds. Worked really well to be fair, not the prettiest but it was a plan, then he mucked that up by trying this false 9 nonsense. Been saying for 3 years now, I quite like the fella but I've never known a manager make football so much more hard work than it needs to be. He likes the sound of his own voice way too much. Just shut up talking for once and sign some decent defenders man. Its a waste of good attacking talent.
  4. Shouldn't be discouraging Dolan from trying something in the oppositions half. Let the lad express himself. He didn't cost us the game, the defence is just too sh*t to cope, that's the problem. Another season under this fella who has consistently failed to sort the defence out. Either sort the defence out pal or step aside for someone who can.
  5. We bid for him. He didn't want to come here. He wanted to stay down south, missus wanted to stay near family. He would have signed for us as a last resort if no one else bid.
  6. Who else is hearing strong rumours of Armstrong to Newcastle for 10 million? If we look at Eze, surely he's worth the same... If true.
  7. And yet, he benches him in favour of his 2 total wasters to justify spunking money we don't have. Genius. (That could also apply to Graham)
  8. This is garbage. 2 down in a crucial game, no f*cking pressing at all and can't string 2 passes together. Centre midfield has been a joke, going back to the days of Lowe watching players wander through the middle unchallenged. Sh*trun of form incoming, mark my words.
  9. This is the way.
  10. Without Watkins and Benrahma they have very little. Everything went through those 2. Would have liked to see of Armstrong was clearly offside because it didn't look like he was right at the end. Dissapointed but would have taken a point ore match.
  11. I think folk need to calm down about Samuel. Couple of decent performances, one bench cameo in a game already won and one against a side we were a class above. I'm sure he can be useful whilst injuries plague us, no doubt.
  12. Over hyped this lot. Decent side no doubt but teams give them too much respect. We gifted them points last season with Bennett at right back, was a 90 min car crash. We can hurt them.
  13. Bradley Johnson absolutely ran it today. Totally dominated. Won everything and pressed high. Looked fit. If we can have that version of him for the rest of the season then it is well and truly game on.
  14. Armstrong will be back at Newcastle by the summer at this rate.
  15. Don't understand why he's a target at all. He won't want to come here for a kick off and hasn't shown anything that should interest us. A player living off his former wondekid status.
  16. I've watched him many times and he's all of the above. Pish. Exactly what we don't need if we have any promotion aspirations.
  17. Don't think Atsu would be a good signing personally.
  18. I personally think Nyambe hasn't changed that much, he's just being played and has 2 decent centre halves along side him rather than a panicy Mulgrew with poor positioning. I watched him when we got relegated against Brentford and he was, by a long way, the best player on the pitch. I don't want to criticise the manager after an outstanding result but in this case he got it horribly wrong and its cost us an unknown amount of points.
  19. Nyambe is frighteningly good.
  20. Hahaha... Tell me I'm wrong though. Everyone I know thinks the same. I feel tight saying it but lad seems a bit of a simpleton. I've said my bit. All the best!
  21. This fella comes out with some amazingly stupid words. He'd just pay the money clubs are asking if we had it to spend... Seriously? Who can afford to spend that sort of money besides the top 6?
  22. I don't want this to come across as a personal attack on Ben but one thing that concerns me with him is... He doesn't seem the brightest lad, I'm not sure he has the intelligence to learn how to be a successful player. Perhaps this is unfair because I don't know him personally, its just observation but he comes across as a nice lad but a bit of a wally. I'm going to get pelters for this...
  23. Trying to keep my mouth shut whilst this run is going. Foresee a score draw here but if we're actually serious about challenging then we need a win. Picking an 11 after Saturday is going to be tricky.
  24. Think Gallagher has had some harsh critisnbsince coming back, hung out to dry on the wing on many occasions, too many games where all he's received are floated balls up to him where all he can do is jump with the man. First real occasion I saw proper crosses from the byline into him was Preston away and he smashed that header. Feed him these types balls and he will score us goals.
