  1. Ha... Give me until 11pm when we miss out on a centre forward by a midges dick.
  2. I know you're not a fan but a return of 12 goals for us out of position in a team that got relegated is surely not to be sniffed at? Especially if you get him at a reasonable price.
  3. From Mowbrays previous comments earlier in the window it sounded like we weren't going to sign anyone but to get Chapman on a permenant deal on peanuts is great business. I'm holding out hope that seeing as he now has the no11 shirt we will see him make a contribution towards the end of the season to push us on. It will be dissapoiting not to bring an out and out forward in BUT if we don't then we surely must give BB a go through the middle and try and see a return for that investment.
  4. Is there any sign of Southampton signing any forward to free up Gallagher?
  5. I think I might be the only one wanting Sam Gallagher as first choice permenant signing. Just think he will integrate into the side quicker and is lower risk. I'd be happy to take a punt on the bigger names on loan but I think its risky chucking loads of money at those types of players in the championship.
  6. I think we've put all of our eggs in one basket with Gally. Watch out for Palace signing someone, I recon the Connor Wickham link will pop up again.
  7. I honestly think that if we're going to get anyone tomorrow it will be Sam Gallagher. Obviously all depends on them getting one in. If they do I think it could move quickly.
  8. I think we all know that if Rovers haven't bagged anyone today it's very unlikely we'll get one through tomorrow. Any potential expensive signing should be loan OPTION to buy (no commitments). Anything that will cost a couple of million is fair enough.
  9. Having ability alone doesn't make you a good player these days.
  10. Transfer fee surely isn't that high anyway?
  11. I don't know about that. If he's not good enough for Stoke then...
  12. Not sure how Boro are in a position to be demanding big sell on clauses.
  13. I think this defensive panic has been blown way out... We currently have 4 decent centre halves fit and a few supposedly good young lads coming through. We've got that much depth one of our best players (Nyambe) didn't even make the squad on Saturday.
  14. I recon Waggot is gunna stumble back into Brockhall, same getup as Friday, stinking of ale, tie undone, curry on his shirt, beer breath, Chapman and Britt in back of his jag shouting "f*ck the cup, we're going up!" in the canteen.
  15. Maddona... If you're wrong I think you should get a kick up the arse and a dead shoulder from each one of us... Playground style.
  16. Yikes. Played yesterday though, something don't sit right.
  17. For all the talk about Dacky, still pops up with an assist and almost walked through their defence to score. Lad is a maverick and it's pointless assessing his performances. I remember so many times for most of the game he's done nothing and then all of a sudden bangs one in or opens a team up.
  18. Rodders is looking a class act. Can't fault anyone today. Really need Reedy signed. Evans was class. Trav was solid again. Be nice to have more centre forward options, if we sign Gallagher then we're looking some bloody side.
  19. Chapman is low risk. Few hundred grand for someone with his ability and potential is worth a punt.
  20. I remember TM saying it will take us 4 transfer windows until he feels we're worthy of challenging the bigger sides in this league, now he's saying he's happy with the squad and we're looking at freebies. Looks like the purse strings have closed to me.
  21. Depends on what you mean by special. Gets assists and goals for them fairly regularly and worth a hell of a lot more than what we sold him for. People seemed to forget he was still a youngster when he came here and we're expecting the finished article. If that was the case then he wouldn't have left United to sign for us. It showed a clear lack of perspective from a number of our fans to be honest and a lack of good man management by Bowyer. Once folk realised his potential against Stoke it was too late, the manager had wasted him.
