  1. He was brilliant. He's still adamant to this day that he would have played in 66 if he wasn't playing on one leg! And I think he would have. He was a genius with the ball.
  2. Yes he was probably the man of the tournament at Japan 2002 for me. Shame Eriksson preferred to take Keown who never played a minute over Matt Jansen who was a leading light at Rovers and in the Prem and would have had the ability to change matches
  3. Totally agree. They were magnificent and just blew teams away (apart from England who imo were the best of the rest at that time)
  4. No I said apart from defence there isn't much difference. Midfield to front is minimal apart from BBD. Look who played tonight Dack, Vale Buckley, Markanday swap with Szmodics, Hedges, Gallagher, Travis. I think we've got good depth now
  5. Yes but we made 11 changes too. Apart one or 2 in from the defence we aren't any weaker really apart from BBD of course which speaks volumes of our young squad
  6. No you haven't offended me at all but I am in the stadium watching the game and we haven't surrendered as we do in the champs on away days. No Rovers player has been terrible or brilliant but we are playing a better team than either Wigan or Coventry and you have to take that into account. Vale may well flourish again now he's scored again and he deserves support rather than writing him off. You just seem to be either you love a player or hate him for whatever reason which is more rugby fan based
  7. Thanks for your wonderful insight. They are playing against the same 11 that have won every Europa league game not fucking Wigan athletic or Coventry where we surrendered like frightened mice. Stick to rugby union pal
  8. Hopefully does his confidence the world of good.
  9. Well it was a bit shitty lol. We don't look convincing at all
  10. Same as the other 23 in reality . Makes it more competitive than the so called Prem. Imagine being a supoorter of a club like Everton. No chance of winning anything or little chance of relegation Wtf are you competing for? At least we have been relegated and promoted, won trophies since they did. Even getting relegated gives us some interest
  11. Dolan will never a footballer. Yes he runs round a lot but he's shite
  12. Sorry but that display today was utter shit. Good job we were playing poorer shit. God knows what the Danish Messaih is thinking. Sammie Szmodics ffs. Send him back to Peterborough pronto. Good god he's shit.
  13. Szmodics is wank. He should be nowhere near our 18 man squad
  14. You just can't help your fuckin self can you? Bucko was by far and away our best midfielder last season. But hey ho he's not hit form this season so rightfully gets dropped. So Sparks writes yet another off of our Academy graduates. Fuck me you should be manager of England and write everybody off after a few iffy games if they're not playing well or lost their confidence. Un fucking believable
  15. Sheff Utd was our 17th game and left us on 26 points. More games played to date because of WC
  16. I think all centre forwards in the history of the game have missed more than they scored tbh. Its getting into the positions to score that matters. The rest takes care of itself if you are a natural finisher
  17. Per frandsen was a player. Not too sure about per pederson tbh as he only played 11 games and looked pretty shit when he did get a game
  18. Sorry my fault. Getting mixed up with per frandsen and per pederson lol 😆😆
  19. Per Frandsen signed for us in Sep 1997 so would have been Hodgson
  20. Is he out or is that just your wishful thinking? You are very quick to criticise academy players for some reason. As it happens I don't see what Morton brings to the table . He was shit today (again) . Buckley is a far better option
  21. Yeah Buckley has been out of sorts so far this season. Hope he sorts it out as he is a talent no doubt. Personally prefer Trav as a box to box midfielder which I think he's a natural at. Looks comfortable at rb though. All personal opinions so no right or wrong
  22. I think you are getting mixed up with Tony Christies "Is this the way to Amarillo"!
