Lovely footwork from him to shoot, then lovely footwork from Dack to score when the keeper saved it. Just lovely all round. Lovely stuff.
-
Blimey, fully expected Watford to score then Dack comes up with one.
-
Pears looked to have dropped the ball but he was fouled, then recovered. Did well considering the ref missed it.
-
Exiled is right, Sorba has gone back to the wing now.
-
Not sure if anyone has posted this yet but Sorba is playing in the middle. Brereton left, Dolan right.
-
I watched all three games, and we had good chances to win those games but Brereton, Gallagher and co fluffed them. It doesn't matter how much you want to believe otherwise. We haven't got worse, apart from the scoring part, we were playing badly in the first half of the season and winning. I sat through a lot of those games, wondering how we were winning. One that sticks in my mind was the WBA game at home. Edun came on and tried his best to make it a loss. The best performance was against Blackpool, and we still only came away with one goal. It's always been a problem.
-
He plays on the right.
-
Ayala, Hyam, Brittain, Kaminski. Any team would struggle. If Brereton plays like he's afraid of having his leg broken again he needs benching, but then who replaces him?
-
We'll always have a passenger somewhere on the pitch. Vale or Gallagher... Morton, Travis or Buckley... Pickering or Edun...
-
We haven't improved but we are creating chances. Boro, Bristol, Wigan - all chances to win but dropped points because we haven't addressed the problem in three transfer windows. The difference between pre and post World Cup is that we were scoring goals. There will be little change unless we sign a striker or two.

Seems like "I'll do it my f***ing self then" is at play here.
-
Give him our budget and idiots running the club, see how he does.
-
There obviously has from the manager.
-
I didn’t expect much of an improvement on the pitch this season, but I did expect an improvement in terms of recruitment, and with it I hoped we’d see signs of an improvement on Mowbray and his “journey”. With a view to things improving in a big way next season. Something to build on, a bit of hope. I expected that because the appointment of JDT and fanfare on his arrival suggested so. What a wally I was.
-
Very good post!
-
His remit is to get the club promoted at first attempt. JDTs isn’t. And it’s not his project, it’s the clubs. Blame them for wasting years on Mowbrays dawdling, and now spending even more years on building a squad,
-
For u21s, Leonard came off the bench and scored two, and almost a hat trick. Can’t be any worse than Vale.
-
There were times when Brereton had the ball and simply gave it up because he didn't want to get kicked. Anyone notice that? He'd have been battling earlier in the season. Massively disappointed in Brereton, but even more so the club.
-
Agree with all of that apart from Dack who I think has been in good form recently. He's got such dross around him, it's limiting his game but at least he's trying to make things happen. As for the transfer window, even if they'd brought in a midfielder and a striker it would have been an improvement, and may have enhanced the players around them. Even lower league clubs manage to bring players in, we'll be competing with them if this "frugality" carries on.
-
I do. I think we have 7 or 8 players in the squad worth keeping. If we’d have added a decent midfielder and a striker, then that’s better. Add a couple of fullbacks and we’ve got a decent team. I just don’t believe anyone could get a tune out of that team for an entire season. Every week we start with ten players, sometimes less.
-
Not sure what that means but okay. If only we had players of the quality and dependability of Chris Samba...
-
Gallagher and BBD would be just as terrible. Any combination of those players isn’t suddenly going to turn Sam Gallagher into a player, or Vale, or make Brereton play like we know he can. Brereton was clearly elsewhere last night. He’s definitely avoiding injury too. Last night we had three defenders injured.
-
So childish that you wrote a lot of words without addressing any of mine. So I’ll boil it down to a simple question. Who scores the goals in that squad?
-
I see you’ve forgotten about the beginning of last season and the second half of last season which saw some records being broken for the wrong reason. But it was also a season where we had Diaz at his best for half a season. A season where we had a more settled team. A season where the manager got more then one player through the door in January. Yes let’s compare it to that.
-
I'm saying that even if we played differently we'd still be lacking in goals, still concede goals and still play poorly. It's a very poor squad with some decent players, and our only player capable of being a prolific goalscorer isn't giving it 100%. Who scores enough goals for us to be significantly better?
