  1. We get at least one injury per game. Is it a fitness issue? Amazing that we need a goal and a moment ago only one player ran in the box for a cross.
  2. Hirst for Vale. That ought to do it, well done JDT you've earned your beans with that one.
  3. Move Travis from fullback and put Brittain there (bizarre decision not to in the first place), get Vale off, tell Brereton to channel his inner Diaz, start attacking the team, tell midfield to close down their players and stop ball watching, do not bring Hirst on.
  4. Last January. We should have had another through the door in Summer too. At the moment our only proper CF is Sam Gallagher. I'd be happy for Vale to never wear the shirt again. They've all been awful tonight though including Tomasson who has got this massively wrong.
  5. Brereton... "Vale cover their defender I'll chase that one down." Vale... "Oh right okay." Ball goes back to the goalie and he passes it confidently to the player that Vale was told to mark, who is about three feet away from his man. Get him off. And now we're 1 down...
  6. A lot of ball watching when not in possession, he usually covers every piece of grass.
  7. How did Brittain not get that on target? And then a really poor shot from Brereton. What an awful performance.
  8. Adam Wharton is showing his age tonight, a bit of a lazy performance by his standards. Vale on the other hand is like playing with 10.
  9. He probably sees about as much as you do but he's not spoilt for choice is he. The ghost of Tony Mowbray and his dislike of centre forwards still haunts the club (along with Gregg Broughton's bizarre belief that Hirst is the answer).
  10. I've only just been able to get the game streaming. It shouldn't be that hard work to get to the game page.
  11. Weather bad and Coventry fans not expecting to get anything from the game. Let's see which Rovers turn up.
  12. An explanation is that we were conceding a lot when Wharton, Brittain and Hyam weren't playing. Then we had Ayala out for a while. We had a 17 year old in central defence, along with two different midfielders and a rookie CB taking turns covering the right fullback role. I'd love to see Burnley with four defenders unavailable and having to rely on youth and fringe players, then we'd see how many they concede. And let's not forget the decent spells out for players like Szmodics and Gallagher who have scored goals on their return. "Conceded more than us and scored less." Paint it any way you like but we're only two points behind you and we've won more games. Must be doing something right considering this year was seen as a rebuilding job. I noticed some interesting stats. Rovers have one more point than second placed Fulham did at this point last year (at this point last year Rovers were 7th with 26 points). Burnley have 2 less points than first placed Bournemouth did at this point last year.
  13. Coventry are terrible, they've only won 4 out 15 and it should be an easy win, but every dog has its day in this league. The main worry is injuries and fitness. Who will be in and who will be out.
  14. Frustrating if it gets called off, when we've finally got some momentum.
  15. Most wins in the league. Injuries aplenty and sitting in second place. Nice.
  16. I was going to say he's doing a job, but he got caught ball watching a moment ago and left Carter on his own against two.
  17. Sitting back is a big risk with these players.
  18. Well we've lasted 15 minutes or so, another 15 to go 😬
  19. Those who wanted Dack to be involved, here we go.
  20. Looks like it's given Hull a lifeline to me. Under the cosh now.
  21. Shit. Another nailbiter where we're hanging on incoming.
