  1. Or fans to return to the stadium?
  2. Very concerning. Does JDT have a single clue about this league or team yet?
  3. Gallagher looks like that without a lay off.
  4. Every week since day 1, it must be something he wants them to do.
  5. I've been a supporter of JDT, but I'm now worried that even after a decent break he doesn't seem to be familiar with his players at all, never mind his best team.
  6. Personally I wouldn't play that formation, but answers are above. And I'd choose Adam Wharton over Morton.
  7. When playing against the likes of lowly Millwall at home, you put round pegs in round holes and just play your best team. That's not our best team.
  8. If we're playing that formation, Gallagher should be in the middle, up top. Hedges should be the wide forward in place of Gallagher. Brittain should be where Dolan is. It's bonkers that Dolan has gone from being the central front man to a wing back. Especially when you consider Brittain is on the bench.
  9. Dolan and Gallagher on the same flank? I fecking hope not or that side of the pitch is going to get pummeled. Not a fan of this set up, it's like Mowbray is back in town. No midfield, no width, nothing up front.
  10. Want the cash. "Need" the cash is a bit strong considering that Venkys squander money.
  11. With the shambles that Mowbray left behind and JDT's late appointment I'd give him more than this season*. Same with Gregg Broughton, though the club should have supported JDT better in the transfer window. We were a forward and fullback short but we'll see what happens in January. *With the obvious exception of if we end up flirting with relegation.
  12. He said it in January too. Said he could have brought in a centre forward but we don't play that way. The dozy monkey faced twit.
  13. I didn't say you did, but he is our top goalscorer. If we signed a left sided attacking player and a striker, the likelihood is that the left sided attacking player will not score as many goals as BBD did in the first half of last season. So we'd lose BBD's goals, Gallagher's 9 goal contribution and hope that the new guy can score enough to cover the exodus of both players. That's why I think it'd be a good idea to sign a good left sided player and two strikers. Finally we'd have a replacement for Armstrong too.
  14. If Gallagher and BBD went you mean? If so you're happy to replace the both of them with one striker? Between them they scored 31 goals. Unless you're expecting BBD to sign another contract?
  15. He played Dack against Blackpool and Bristol. Out for the last two after a poor performance (but to be fair they were all poor). I'm not sure if we can take it that Dack won't be seen in the future. I still maintain Dack needs a decent striker in front of him and that's the problem.
  16. Even with 12 players there's not enough goals in that team 😉
  17. I know that's why I said what I said. We do need another striker, we'll see when we get to January and we're all lamenting how there isn't enough goals in the team. Like we did when last season ended.
  18. In future arguments won't be settled with results or who has the highest gates, but who has the worst, most apathetic owners. At least we're in the lead with that one.
  19. Gallagher and Pickering.
  20. Kaminski Brittain Hyam Wharton Pickering Travis Wharton Hedges Dack BBD Gallagher Some reluctant inclusions there but that's what I'd go with.
  21. It was more than just a viewpoint on Hirst, it was a viewpoint on our striking options on the whole. I'm not sure how anyone could be happy with frontline options of BBD, Gallagher, Hirst and Vale. BBD and Gallagher aren't being used as strikers anyway. So we've got Hirst and Vale. That's woefully inadequate. A total of 0 Championship goals between the two of them. We needed another striker.
  22. Be interesting to see where their gates would be if Pace and co gave the club over to an agency, treated the fans horrendously, took them down to league 1, fecked off back to America with zero f***s given, then showed zero ambition in getting them back to where they were when they bought the club. Burnley have had an easy ride from their new owners so far, their fans may not be so kind if it continues to slide over the next decade. Some Rovers fans will never come back to the club.
  23. Whether the squad is weaker or stronger than last season, we still had a run of games with a defence in tatters and players are just coming back from injury. So for those games we were unequivocally weaker than last season.
  24. Yes we'd also need someone who can play on the left if BBD went. I meant more replacing the goals than the actual position.
