  1. Aberdeen fans say very good on his day, skillful but inconsistent. Very one footed.
  2. The best thing to do would be to work his socks off to try and get us into the PL. Fans back onside, bonus and PL wage.
  3. He didn't have a falling out with Walker, he just wanted to sign players and JW wanted to be loyal to the players that won the league. Dalglish was still in the changing room at matches and around the club. If he'd fallen out with Walker he'd have left straight away. Kenny was a difficult person to follow, quite charismatic and obviously a very famous name in the game that had just won the league. Harford had no chance but JW convinced him to give it a go. JW was too loyal and making decisions from his heart, probably due to being overwhelmed by being the owner of the champions of England.
  4. Fulham just went “meh”.

  6. Obsessed, don’t be daft. Concerned yes, we’ve got a total of two strikers going into what could be the biggest run of games in a long time. And if Mowbray was trying to sign a forward before the deadline as has been mentioned, he obviously is too. It’s a legitimate concern that if BBD’s goals dry up or he gets an injury who steps up? We’ve got Gallagher (6), Khadra and Dolan (4 each, I think) to rely on. But it is what it is now. Let’s hope he can stay fit and carry on scoring goals.
  7. And the mounting debt?
  8. I just hope Scott Parker manages to manifest all of his terrible football management while Rovers quietly pick up points, and hopefully someone - Khadra or otherwise, manages to pop up as the goalscorer for the remainder of the season as we surely can't rely on another 20 goals from BBD. I'll take the play offs but I won't enjoy them.
  9. Comparing us to Bournemouth and Fulham doesn't really work. As well as having a prolific striker they do have others chipping in to a greater extent than our supporting forwards. Fulham are out of sight. They also have players providing much more assists than us. I think it speaks volumes for Brereton's finishing this season that he's managed to get 20 goals with less support than Mitrovic and Solanke (on paper). I don't think anyone was asking for a 30 goal a season player, just a bit of strengthening in that area. Butterworth has gone and Gallagher looks a passenger in most games. It sounds like Mowbray was trying to sign someone, I imagine that's why they let Butterworth go on loan. Maybe we'll see a free agent come in.
  10. Well we do need other players to step up when Brereton doesn't. The work ethic is there.
  11. Any idea which positions those couple would have covered?
  12. Being second is wonderful, promotion would be dreamland but after the 11 years of absolute shit, it’s a disappointment that we couldn’t have given more of a final push. I just can’t see us getting back to this point again if we fluff it and with the inevitable player outgoings come summer. Above all else the most important thing is getting the club back on a decent financial footing. Promotion would solve so many issues even if we came straight back down.
  13. We may ride our luck with Travis but Kaminski would be a huge loss.
  14. I ignored it because I didn’t mention those players. Anyway, you reply to this so you can have the final word, get it all off your chest then we’ll call it a day.
  15. I don’t think we’ll be okay if Brereton disappears from the team and I think it’s a sad state of affairs that we haven’t strengthened at a time I believe is a one off great chance at gaining promotion automatically. You disagree with that? Fair enough. And yes I think we would be fucked to lose a 20 goal player when we’re already the underdogs personally and we’ve got Gallagher as backup. No ones crying at you going a bit bonkers on a message board pal. Go and have a lie down.
  16. I think you’re a bit mad, please go away.
  17. Fair enough, I can’t see it myself. I don’t think Mowbray has the belief in him to play him centrally. But the point remains, it’s a poor do when we are in the position we are.
  18. I’m disappointed we didn’t bring a goalscorer in, which you pulled me up about. Then you said you would have liked them to bring a goalscorer in. Do you argue with yourself at home?
  19. Key word was “think” can you read?
  20. I’m not the person saying it, just echoing it.
  21. So what are you arguing about then? Of course we can win games without Brereton, we just won’t win as many and I don’t believe we’ll manage auto promotion. The point was, a team in second not strengthening in that area is a poor do.
  22. It’s a good idea not to bolster our firepower in January. I get it.
  23. Because we didn’t move our arses to use it? But hey everything’s just dandy if Brereton gets injured.
  24. Easily, shoulda coulda. Won't happen. We're riding our luck yet again.
