  1. Even with those, there's only two of them who has ever scored goals out of the lot of them. And for one reason or another we knew in advance we couldn't rely on either of them in a promotion push.
  2. Will any journalists bring up his refusal to sign a striker in Jan?
  3. No need to listen to TM's post match interview. It was all explained on 4th Feb. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19898505.tony-mowbray-explains-blackburn-rovers-didnt-sign-striker/
  4. Mowbray, another missed opportunity which falls entirely at your door.
  5. "I had Premier League teams ringing me up about big number 9's but we don't play that way"
  6. Good to see Vale on but way too late.
  7. And two of those would be better than what we have at the moment.
  8. Why not stick on Vale for the last ten in place of Gallagher? He's been remarkably poor tonight.
  9. I remember when managers would sub off under performing strikers early on, then they wouldn't be back in the team for weeks. Then again I can't remember a manager leaving us without a fit striker after a Jan transfer window.
  10. If we had someone who can head a ball on target, Giles would provide service.
  11. Only Mowbray would buy a player high up the assists league when we've absolutely no one to get on the end of crosses.
  12. With Gallagher, they can discuss all the best ways to not score.
  13. Tony probably thinks the defence is playing just fine.
  14. He forgot who he was playing for.
  15. That's our £5m goalscorer. It must be demoralising to the other players that they rely on that for goals.
  16. Why the F wasn't Gallagher challenging for that at the back post?????
  17. Our alternative Hedges has scored 5 goals this season for Aberdeen.
  18. It's even more depressing when it's put into words. 3 goals, ffs TM.
  19. Spending £5m for him is still costing us. If we'd picked him up for £300k he'd probably have been moved on by now. As it is, he's a Venky investment that has to pay off at some point whether it's good for the club or not.
  20. Hedges isn't a striker he's a winger. That said I'm not saying he won't score, it's just a poor do that we may have to rely on someone who isn't actually a striker when we're already struggling to score.
  21. We do. Shame Tony didn't show some foresight in Jan.
  22. I think if one thing is guaranteed, Vale is just a bench warmer for this one.
  23. Millwall look ragged but are probably confident that there's little chance we'll score. Why we gave Gallagher a new contract I don't know. If only we had someone decent up front I'd be still believing we could go up automatically.
  24. And a decent striker would have been sliding in on that just in case it didn't go in.
  25. Of course not, but we shouldn’t even be in this position all things considered. They should take the blame for a lot of things but the transfer window was a lifeline and as it stands TM didn’t exactly grab it with both hands. It was more like he held his hand out, looked at Brereton’s name on the team sheet then retracted his hand, smiled to himself and said, “Nah.”
