  1. 3-0 Lenihan - we can't cock this up can we?
  2. I love a defensive cock up goal. 2-0.
  3. Johnson for Ayala, what a downgrade 😕
  4. Goal for Ronnie, nice ball from Buckley.
  5. It's on Rovers TV if all else fails.
  6. It's a back 3. Well a back 5. 3 CB's, two "wing backs". Against lowly Peterborough.
  7. I just found it particularly annoying that we're playing 22nd placed Peterborough and his first words are, "They are a good, brave team." That's not a cliche, that's bullshit. And all in that ever so motivating way he has in the tone of a manic depressive. I thought there'd be a bit more passion when facing such lowly opposition. Perhaps I am the stupid one for expecting that from Mowbray.
  8. Of course it's different, if you can't see what he's doing then you need to take your flip flops off. It won't be the first time he's bigged up awful sides. But yes here's to 3 points, but who can say when the opposition is such a good, brave team?
  9. Klopp or Pep obviously have a better command of the language than you think Mowbray has if you think he's limited to saying the opposition is either good or terrible. Perhaps if he's nothing good to say about the opposition focus on his own team's qualities. Or as you imagined he said, "we shouldn't underestimate them." That would have been fine. Saying they are good when they aren't just makes it look like he's trying to dumb down expectations before a ball is kicked.
  10. Well he could have said that but he didn't. He said they are a good brave team. Whilst I have no idea about the bravery of the Peterborough players, I think it's obvious to anyone with access to a league table that they are anything but good. There's no picking apart of his comments at all, it's literally what he said.
  11. Just seen Mowbray's interview where he says Peterborough are a good team. Sorry Tony they are in the relegation zone in 22nd place. Who exactly are you trying to kid?
  12. As confirmed by the John Williams letter and himself on Sky Sports.
  13. I can confirm that too. Been struck down with it over the last week or so as have the rest of the family. Today has been the worst, not being able to breathe on occasion. Awful.
  14. Hmmm, his salary was to be reduced but it was to back up to a million plus a £500k bonus for promotion a couple of seasons later wasn't it? First season £1m salary. Second season £1m. Championship £600k. So get relegated and live off £600k but get promoted a couple of seasons later and get effectively an £900k bonus! £900k! To me that rewards failure because it was him who relegated the club in the first place. A particularly dodgy individual would look at that contract and think, on a personal level I can't fail. Some incentive. We are talking about a guy who had never managed before who was made a millionaire for relegating the club and having a contract loaded with bonuses.

  16. As I see it two individuals were set up to succeed as a result of the takeover. Was relegation deliberate? It certainly wasn't a hindrance to either of them in terms of becoming much more wealthier. And that's that.
  17. They are never going to get that money back Chaddy. It’d be a monumental achievement if we had a top class manager, chairman and proper board structure and were sitting pretty in the Premier League. £140m and counting.
  18. I don’t know but we certainly have less sizeable assets. If Venkys decided to do a Ken Bates and sell us for a quid so it’s someone else’s problem then I can see vultures circling.
  19. I can't see anyone of any worth taking on Blackburn Rovers and £140m of debt. Just asset strippers,
  20. I wonder if Mowbray will be applying.
  21. You've obviously not had the pleasure of reading Kean's contract.
  22. I thought we were worth more than a point before KO. Playing a team 18th in the league, lost their previous 2 games, a team without a manager for a period due to illness, fans not happy. Us having injured players returning and having second top scorer. After our previous game I'd have expected our players to be more up for it. I'm happy with a point considering I didn't think we deserved anything.
  23. I watched it and we were better in the second half but that's not saying much considering how abysmal the first half performance was.
