  1. But then what happens when we still struggle to score and lose, and our midfield is still none existent. That's what will be going through JDT's mind. I do think we'll see a more conservative approach at some point, I reckon the idea was that we don't have any goalscorers so we have to just go for it. Our attackers at the moment are a bunch of midfielders - Sigurdsson, Szmodics and Moran. That's bonkers and entirely down to transfer dealings. Has there ever been such an unbalanced set of players at a football club?
  2. It's not entirely rubbish, Venkys have caused untold damage to the clubs image. Some people will never return even if they went and running a football club is much more expensive than in the 60s/70s/80s. But there must be someone else out there with money who would want to buy ex-Premier League winning historical English football club, who doesn't have chicken shit for brains.
  3. Which way do you play this team? And which of these players do you play as a first eleven? I fell out with JDT for playing Pears and being rigid in starting some players, but I can't see many managers getting more out of them. We've got a few decent players, some good future prospects, some very inconsistent players that are occasionally good on their day, and some players who shouldn't be in this league. And no strikers. The youngsters will always make mistakes and the shit players will always be shit. We've got owners that from day one have demanded pretty football over results, the development of youngsters over experience, and loanees over solid signings. We don't play like this and we play a different brand of shit with these players. Lost our main source of goals and our goalie, with seemingly no effort to better the squad, which was reinforced by the CEO's remarks. Bring in a head coach with the promise of a project and a remit of playing pretty football, then don't back him, then expect him to keep the club from being relegated. I'll always hold Venkys to blame, along with their acolytes Waggott and Pasha for not having the foresight to prepare for us not having a pot to piss in. No long term plan or real goals, they are just letting the club die slowly. At least 10 years ago they pretended to care, now they couldn't care less what we think.
  4. Play the kids every week and we’ll get more results like today. We may need the experience Wharton gets this season in L1 though. Buckley isn’t the answer either but stupid to loan him when our options are so limited. The answer would have been to bring in a quality player or two whilst slowly bringing Wharton in. Tronstad doesn’t look convincing.
  5. Can we have Sutton at all our Sky games? Waggott and the owners need more stick from the pundits.
  6. Sutton saying Blackburn are basically a development camp. Also lost Brereton and Dack and brought no one in.
  7. He was shit the last time he played there. Match fitness? Let’s hope so as we may need to rely on him.
  8. You’re asking the wrong person, there’s no positives to seeing a far better team, with a PL striker, beat your own team that’s been thoroughly left behind by its owners, with no strikers.
  9. Venkys have turned the club into a glorified kids training camp. What was it that silly little cow said when she took over, over a decade ago? We’ve an excellent academy and we’ll lease players. 2023, here we are guys.
  10. Who is ready to go into midfield if neither Wharton or Buckley are ready? Who would you play?
  11. I’m trying to work out which manager would get a tune out of this squad, combined with the suicidal transfer policy.
  12. I agree about Wharton. He’s not ready. Stupid to loan out Buckley.
  13. For periods we looked the better footballing team, but with no cutting edge and a liability in Pears. We’ve no Vardy to rely on when we look lacklustre as Leicester did. 4-1 flattered them but it’s going to be a tough season relying on kids, poor defenders and no strikers.
  14. Annoyed that JDT played Pears today, but where are all the people who said you can’t blame JDT for a shit season after he wasn’t backed? Short memories.
  15. He’s currently getting a pass from the shocking transfer windows he’s endured. As Waggott said, develop players and stay in this division. Wrong manager for that in my opinion.
  16. Pears goes off and Carter takes the role of giving the opposition a free goal.
  17. Markanday passing backwards when he’s five options in front of him boils my piss.
  18. They all do it. A touch too many, a pass too many. This is what you get from relying on youth, they’ll make mistakes.
  19. I’ve got this theory that Waggott has eaten the real Wharton brothers.
  20. Why do our players take so many touches before shooting? And we wonder why we don’t test the oppo keeper.
