  1. Agree with the above but if Pears starts tomorrow, I'll start to fall out with JDT. Anyone know if Gilsenan is still injured?
  2. And this year there's no prolific goalscorer. What a great idea to appoint a manager who wants to attack teams, then fail to sign any tried and tested attackers. Just like the instruction to develop players into the next big thing, then don't sell them while they are hot and the debt is rising. Another in a long line of nonsensical decisions by the idiot owners.
  3. Szmodics should have done better with his shot but that Leonard shot right at the keeper when there's an open goal... If only we had a quality striker. It'd certainly go some way to papering over the cracks.
  4. Dolan isn't contributing to the midfield at all so won't be missed.
  5. Perish the thought, but should we drop Dolan and go 4-4-2 with Semir and Leonard? With our attacking options being so lightweight maybe two heads are more of a handful than one.
  6. JRC hasn't impressed in midfield so far. Not the same player as some of his barnstorming midfield cameos from last season. Not match fit?
  7. After 25-30 mins I'd say, but it's also that we're having so many chances and not scoring. It must be demoralising to know that all the effort is for naught.
  8. No need for sarcasm, it's far worse than last season as you well know.
  9. Some of them have been poor at finishing for 2 or more seasons now so I doubt it. Hopefully someone steps up like Brereton did.
  10. I don't want to write him off too early as he may not be match fit, but although he had a few moments on Saturday, he didn't impress me. We didn't need another player to develop, we needed a guy to hit the ground running and be our main source of goals.
  11. After watching the Plymouth match, the Boro match and this evening, I'm very concerned about our lack of strikers.
  12. When Gallagher went off injured at the weekend it gave us a glimpse of what tonight would bring so I suppose I was expecting a defeat or at best a draw. I think we'll struggle for any manager to stick around with our current transfer policy, and our inability/lack of urgency to sign a quality goalscorer in 3 years.
  13. The worst move was not signing Batth and instead bringing in another young lad.
  14. He's not playing them because they are either not good enough or they aren't fit/ready.
  15. That's his game, and it seems to have worked for him previously. Blame Waggot for such a stupid appointment considering they brought him in, gave him the mandate to do better then gave him a lesser squad and less backing than the man that came before him. Why bring a manager in like Tomasson if you don't have the players to play his way? Because it's a club rudderless making bizarre decisions at odds with each other. Waggott going on about avoiding relegation whilst Broughton talks about wanting Premier League sums it up. On the pitch the biggest problem is they don't score enough goals, and it's been that way a long time before JDT turned up. 22 shots, 6 on target this evening. At the weekend we should have been out of sight before Boro woke up. Plymouth, we dropped points due to awful miss after awful miss in the first 25 mins.
  16. Yes how dare he sub a player that's not up to it with another player that's not up to it.
  17. I commented at the end that it felt like we'd lost points due to that linesman putting us under pressure. Took some time to sink in that we'd taken all three points, but it was made far more difficult. 2-1 was flattering to Boro.
  18. On way home, should have been 4 or 5 before our players went on strike over that offside goal.
  19. One thing that stands out is that the ambitions of GB and JDT are completely at odds with Venkys and Waggott.
  20. Saying we have great depth with Leonard, Telalovic, Ennis and Gallagher is a bizarre one.
  21. For most clubs, they could have a good season and sneak up a league through the play offs, for us we'll always have Venkys making sure we don't. JDT won't stick around wasting his precious time and he's the only one keeping the club from going the opposite way. Without him we're more likely to go back down to L1 than the PL. Even with him as he's not a miracle worker.
  22. Same with myself and my Dad. Used to sit right in the middle of the Riverside so had a good view of Kean brazenly taking the club for everything he could.
  23. Sadly the club is further away from the PL than it's ever been.
