  1. Wharton caught in possession, Pears not committed and took an age to get back. And then Szmod skies an excellent opportunity. Sums up the season so far.
  2. I thought they were supposed to book players who swore at the ref?
  3. Teams know they can let us come forward because more often that not we don’t take our chances, and that allows them a huge advantage? But not signing Batth and a LB doesn’t help. And having Pears giving a goal or two every game doesn’t help.
  4. And a CEO who won’t rock the boat to say, we need a f***ing good striker.
  5. The grief Leicester are giving the ref, with no punishment.
  6. He’s an awful keeper. i can’t remember a worse keeper I’ve seen in a Rovers shirt.
  7. Pickering, Pears, no striker on the pitch. Not expecting much from this.
  8. Venkys said it way back when Kean was appointed. It doesn't matter how many they've actually developed when you factor in their blind stupidity.
  9. Townsend would bring a few fans back to Ewood too, but with owners and a CEO like ours we don't do inspiring signings any more.
  10. Something similar happened to a guy I know. He was given the job of updating the scoreboard and was really chuffed as we were in the PL at the time. He was given a few minutes training ten minutes before the match, then left to it. It was carnage for five minutes. Scores kept going up and down with the crowd cheering and boo'ing depending on if Rovers were on the wrong end of it. I was at the match and it was like a toddler had been given the controls. 2-1, 1-3, 6-0, 9-6. Then it started going something like 10-6, 10-7, 10-8, 10-9, 10-10, crowd starts "ooooooh" then 10-11 "booooooo!". Then the clock started playing up. Then 12-11 to big cheers. All while the match was in play. Apparently someone went in and snapped at him and took the controls. After the game he got absolutely bollocked which ended him in walking out. He didn't go back, told them to stick it.
  11. But not the choice of not being a Rovers fan. You're saddled with it now whether you go or not, thick and thin.
  12. His attempt at heading the ball away for their first goal was half hearted at best. Then the same with closing down the guy who took a shot.
  13. I'll be surprised if they don't get a result tonight. United look awful.
  14. He was poor though. Their lads were just waltzing past him.
  15. Positives. Sigurdsson looked good and scored on his debut. Leonard is improving. Szmodics scored another goal. Play did improve in the second half but I think part of that was that Ipswich had given it their all in the first. Shame there's too many weak links for the positives to see us through.
  16. Gregg for signing him with actual money, when we didn't have much of it.
  17. We're scoring goals because we're so cavalier, and to play like that you need a better defence and a keeper that doesn't put you at least 2/3-0 down almost single handedly.
  18. Wharton's a good passer with good vision, but he strolls about. That said there were occasions today when both he and Travis were standing there as Ipswich picked their passes. But even with our flaws, with a different keeper between the sticks today we wouldn't have lost.
