Not every post that is made needs to be mindblowingly insightful - of course these are important, but the banter and goodwill is equally so.

I'll happily follow suit and set up something as soon as I get the chance to access my internet banking. Having said that, there are several ways to help I think. Andy C's comment of "I can't believe that anyone using this site can't afford to forsake 1 pint to keep it going" has got me thinking. Last season before every home game, and most away games, I spent atleast £5 on a Rovers related bet. In the whole season, I didnt win once. Next season I may well put this £5 per game to better use, and refrain from gambling when I get the urge. I dare say I'll get a much bigger return from the site long term than I would from winning the odd £20.

In my opinion, the only problem is sometimes people just take this place too seriously. Not every post that every member makes has to be deep and full of meaning. You dont always have to be making a well constructed point. Of course, these things are important and the vast majority of the members can and do. But having a laugh is just as important. Some of the members seem to view the forum as a public discussion area only, and regard anything not on topic as useless and expendable. Others seem to regard the messageboard as an extension of the pub - sometimes you get into a good debate with your mates and enjoy arguing your points through. And sometimes you just have a laugh. I think that the people who think of the messageboard as such are probably the ones that get the most enjoyment out of it. But I guess it's all down to personal preference
