  1. Oxford - 27 West Brom - 32 Rovers - 32 Leicester - 32 Pompey - 33 Norwich - 33 Charlton - 36 Swansea - 39 Sheff United - 39 Southampton - 40 Southampton amd Sheff United are looking up, not down and will be ok. Swansea aren't great, but a 7 point buffer as of now should be enough to see them safe. Which leaves 2 from 7. Oxford are playing catch up. I think they are doomed. Which leaves 1 from 6. Norwich and Leicester should have more than enough to stay up, although Norwich have been pretty useless most of the season. Which leaves 1 from 4. Us, West Brom, Pompey and Charlton. We have been in steady decline, West Brom in freefall, Pompey have done well to jump a few places. Charlton remain pretty steady. I'm going to randomly guess that West Brom find somethimg from somwhere. But they better get a move on. That leaves 1 from 3 and Charlton have a four point start on us. And Portsmouth are a nuisance at home. -- Just read that Charlton have lost 9 of their last 15. Drawing 0-0 with QPR just now.
  2. Ipswich fan rumours loosely suggesting something about racist comments. More likely, fed up being played left wing and average players getting a game ahead of him. Ipswich have an expensive squad. Something not right there.
  3. It's for those reasons I and others like him. I sense a steeliness about him, plus he's a proven winner. I am finding the other names mentioned very lame, including a not good enough for Oxford, but good enough for us, Gary Rowett. Let's face facts, we are in serious trouble. We cannot score goals. We are shocking at home. I predicted relegation when we ransacked the squad in the summer. Any new manager represents a big gamble and its 50 / 50 whether we stay up.
  4. My thoughts exactly.
  5. Predictable. Take as long as you need.
  6. Ah, so you are not going to show me the posts? Thought not. Rude? You are the one making up stupid comments i never said. I've let it slide, but you are boring me now, you are not a kid so behave yourself.
  7. The only reason folk are thinking Mowbray is a good choice is he got us promoted from the lower division. Ie already planning for relegation. I'm trying to be a bit more proactive. If as you've said you don't want Mowbray, or anyone formerly connected to the club, and having had more than 3 seconds to think it through, lets hear your suggestion. I'm sure its going to be errmmm biblical.
  8. I keep letting you get away with this selective stupidity to avoid embarrassing you. I've had enough. Lets nip it in your little bud. When Eustace left you got all hissy and upset when i suggested he left simply for an extra 15k a week. It really upset you for some really weird reason. He left in February. Three months before the end of last season. Who in their right mind would predict results for the following season???? Certainly not me. So either put up or shut up. Show me these posts you keep referencing in my name. And when you can't, have the courtesy to apologise. Why you constantly insist on being the class clown i have absolutely no idea.
  9. Ah ok, so anyone with any link to Rovers is purely a sentimental choice? Mowbray has enjoyed two promotions in 20+ years. I don't want his boring rhetoric and inane ramblings all over again. Henning Berg is statistically our worst ever manager. Weird reference. Ainsworth? Please. Anyway, you might get your wish. Mowbray 2/1 favourite.
  10. I wouldn't give it Johnson either. But I'm also not sure about the 'safe pair of hands' you mention. That normally means someone who has failed multiple times. I don't want a Bruce, Mowbray, or Hughes. We can't score goals. We don't keep many clean sheets. Who can solve that problem? There is only one manager i would be very confident could quickly solve that riddle. But we sacked him at the very start of this Venky induced nightmare. I'd rather go down clapping than booing. It won't happen, but I'd like to see Duff given a chance. He's a ten times better player than any of our squad will ever be, so the players should be respectful and the fans would be delighted. Plus hes got an edge and is tougher / meaner than many realise. Yes its a massive gamble that might not work. But so are all the other names mentioned.
  11. Where is he? Ive not seen him posting.
  12. My thoughts exactly. They've done it to save their own skin. Lets hope we can wriggle to safety. Very well done to those who organised and took part in the protests. Two weeks later the manager is potted. Its not a coincidence.
  13. When you cannot create chances and score goals you are in big trouble. It's always been that way. Our defence kept enough clean sheets last season to hide our attacking deficiencies for a while. But ultimately it cost us. If we don't change anything, nothing will change. We are sleepwalking to relegation. I am not confident in any game we play.
  14. He's constantly blaming injuries and there is absolutely no motivation to remove him. My only hope is it may unite the fanbase. Home fans should stop attending. We all should make an effort to go away. No one at home. Massive away support, would get attention and hurt those in control.
  15. We just lack real quality. They are trying their best, hence not losing 3, 4 or 5. A narrow defeat to an in form team. We are just not very good, especially upfront.
  16. Many predicted a relegation battle so its not been too suprising. Apart from Gestede, who believed the squad was stronger. Home form has been disastrous all season. Severe lack of goals.
  17. The boycott really started 13 to 14 years ago. We lost 10,000 supporters over 2 or 3 seasons. Unfortunately however we couldn't truly unite as a fan base as 50% of our supporters were ecstatic Allardyce was sacked. And were too gormless to see what would follow. Todays boycott has been mentioned and newsworthy for weeks. It's created discussion across many fan forums and forced press releases from the club. Whilst its too litle too late, I'm very pleased some are still striving for change. I despair at the fans who think sitting in silence in ever decreasing numbers at Ewood is actually helping. Our owners are as thick as chicken shit. Its remarkable how badly they have managed the club. One disastrous decision after another. Wouldn't it be something if no one attended?
  18. We struggle to score one! We've nexr to no chance of recovering anything from this fixture. Feeling for our fans who set off at 4 / 5am.
  19. He actually said hes going to.. Come and Sit on your head. Hope you enjoy both
  20. I have never wanted Rovers to lose any match and today is no different. I hope we play our strongest available team and give the travelling fans a great day out. Hull have suprised me a tad this year and enjoyed some very good performances and results. Feels like a free hit with low expectations.
  21. Behaved badly, bowled badly, fielded badly, batted badly, prepared badly, organised badly, managed badly...yet still people make excuses for the pathetic results. I'm not sure what folk don't understand. Try acting like that in your own job, putting in a succession of below par work shy performances, a few short days / lazy weeks and wander in stinking of booze. Cry about it on here when you lose your employment. In the meantime, Crawley averaging 27, Duckett 20, Pope 20, Stokes 18 and Smith 23 are the main reason we lost the ashes. Useless. We gave the bowlers no respite or rest and nothing at all to bowl at. Duckett averaged 16 until the final test. Crawley out four times for a duck. Average opening partnership of 20.I'm not sure what folk don't understand. Bethal has come in with zero experience, scored over 200 runs averaging over 50. There's absolutely nothing to lose with a more professional approach to international cricket and a total re-set. Our vice captain / white ball captain is out getting pissed the night before an ODI. Good old Brendan removed the 12 oclock player curfew. Everyone drunk mid-series in Noosa. One x 3 day game in preperation against a lions team. Wood hadn't bowled since February. Archer no fitness for a five match series, only lasted 3 tests as they were so short. Somehow Stokes limped across the finish line. Three of Australias main bowlers sidelined. Half their top six batsmen struggling. Robert Key stated we had been at 20% of our abilities. They have beaten us easily with four players. All Bazball has achieved is to alienate the average cricket fan, damage a number of younger players, propogate a disrespectful drinking culture and stagnate us at the highest level. If i've ever got to watch Crawley and Duckett opening the batting for England again im going to go mental. Help! I'm not sure what folk don't understand.
  22. Average just over 30. Thats what he does. Its just about acceptable in low scoring games.
  23. I stayed up all night. Very weird game. Well done England on the consolation win. Pleased for the bowlers who at last found their length.
  24. Bethels just gone. Decent knock. 4 down now.
