  1. I want JRC to stay. I think he's a good player. He's been played out of position far too many times. He is a right sided attacking midfielder. Rather have him as back up to Tronstad and Travis than Forshaw.
  2. Pity it wasn't a mass exodus at ownership level.
  3. The first game I remember was the season opener at Ewood in 1951 when we lost 5-1 to Sheffield United. I was eight years old at the time. But we obtained the services of Elvy, Kelly, Quigley and Holmes and that season finished really well with us losing out by one goal to the great Newcastle United (undeservedly) in the FA Cup semi final replay. My Dad had taken me on before this but I wasn't much interested. So may or may not have been on before 47er. It was usually Stand B of the Nuttall St. Later sometimes the Enclosure with me sitting on the bench over the wall.
  4. Players we must get shut of for me would be Dennis, Woodrow, Hedges, Forshaw, ACB, Weimann and Vale. I'd keep Sanderson. Hope Dolan stays but I don't think he will. Keep JRC, Buckley and Leonard. I'd also keep and have a look at Markanday and Garrett. Don't want to lose any more from the rest.
  5. I've got Sky Sports+. I selected the WBA game, then pressed red button which didn't really do anything, then pressed the return button which, thankfully, gave me a choice of all games. I've got Sky Glass btw.
  6. If North End lose and Hull and Luton draw they are down; unless Derby lose at home to Stoke by more than 4 goals (highly unlikely)

  8. Oh it's Ken Taylor, is it? Had me fooled.
  9. Funny you should mention Tronstad. I was just thinking the same thing. RIP Mick.
  10. We knew the play-offs had gone before kick-off. Let's just enjoy what we can
  11. Such negativity on this topic. I was delighted we won 4-1. After reading the last 7 or so pages I feel positively suicidal. The phrase "too little, too late" has been typed far too many times. I think most of you wanted Rovers to lose today. And who was it that wants us to lose to Sheff Utd if it means stopping Burnley going up? Disgraceful. I couldn't give a flying fuck about Burnley or anyone else. I'm just delighted when Rovers win.
  12. Toth, Brittain, Batth, Hyam, Ribeiro, Travis, Tronstad, Dolan, Cantwell, Hedges, Ohashi.
  13. Traffic will still be backed up to Finnington Lane traffic lights.
  14. I listened to Radio Lancs and our wonderful fans were heard loud and clear with "No nay never", "Marching down the Bolton Road" and "We want Venkys out". Made the hairs on my neck stand on end.
  15. We have never ever beaten Luton in the league at Kenilworth Road; playing them since the 1930s. We are bottom of the form league over the past 12 games. Jim is going. Definitely not an away win. Yes, I'd like to see Toth for the rest of the season.
  16. Travis was one of few players who played their heart out. So was Dolan. JRC is being played out of position. Buckley sprayed a few passes but where was Tronstad? Gueye is an embarrassment. Oh and Travers, their goalkeeper, was another (of many) to visit Ewood and show Pears how to catch crosses and shots. But I'm nit-picking. The club is stuffed because of the Vs.
  17. So when you come to Ewood shall we expect another "El Crapico"?
  18. You need to attend a meeting of sarcasmaholics. 😃
  19. If we had "Pay as you play" he would be excellent. He needs (kneads) the dough.
  20. Dolan's shot was going in the top corner. Keeper got his finger tips to it, just. Great shot. Brilliant save
  21. If you weren't there and didn't watch the game how can you criticise my comment. I watched it on TV and IMO Rovers actually played a hell of a lot better than they have done over the last 5 or 6 games. We swung the ball from wing to wing. We put loads of crosses in. We just didn't get the luck we deserved. Their keeper had a world class display. We've been crying out for crosses and a faster tempo to our game and, tonight, that's what we got. As I said, good game and unlucky to lose.
  22. I think Rovers have played very well. A lot more enthusiasm than a few earlier games. But nothing seems to go our way. Very unlucky to lose this one. Their keeper had a blinder. If we keep up this kind of effort surely we will start scoring. Cracking game to watch.
  23. Hedges is no worse than anyone else. Get off his back.
  24. What other team could he pick? We're down to the bare bones.
  25. I was at the game and someone came into blues bar before the game who looked very much like him. I wonder if it was him.
