  1. Switzerland have a very good team and play well. I cannot see England winning this.
  2. Try telling that to Ronaldo; mard, bigheaded git!
  3. One of the Netherlands' players reminds me of Edgar Davids
  4. The American expert has said it's not Oliver's fault; it's FIFA's.
  5. Martha Longhurst and Minnie Caldwell?
  6. And Musiala scores a Sammy Szmodics goal
  7. I always liked Davenport when he played for the first team. Good luck to him at Derry City. Incidentally, earlier in the thread, comparisons were being made between him and Tom White. I see Tom White plays for Barrow now.
  8. Oh! It's Danny bloody Murphy. No wonder.
  9. who is the co-commentator? He's annoying me.
  10. Hanley's shot was on target near the end.
  11. I don't support a football team because of the behaviour of its supporters.
  12. I don't take it personally. I support England because I'm English. But I'm British too and I'm proud of my nation so I support Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland when they play foreign opposition. Also I support Republic of Ireland too. My only conundrum is when, e.g. Wales play Scotland I don't know who to support. Anyway, tonight Scotland are very poor.
  13. But he didn't celebrate early like Sammie did.
  14. I thought I saw a Grant Hanley doppelgänger, then I realised it was David Raya.
  15. He was just clearing his lines with his defence under pressure. Idiot German shouldn't have got in the way. Seriously, Jim's right.
  16. As Jimmy Sirrell, manager of Notts County, said on the radio back in the early 1970s, "If ya dinna score ya dinna win". The interviewer said, "Nice one Sirrell". Notts County had just won promotion from the third division (at our expense).
  17. I concur. Make that four old grumpy bastards.
  18. Glad City won it. I remember them being in the old third division at one stage. They were always second best to their swaggering red scummy rivals. Arsenal are the only club never to have been out of the top flight in my lifetime so glad they didn't win it.
