  1. Does this mean that you've just received a statement from Mastercard? No email here yet so I'm beginning to wonder......
  2. Trust you! Ah well. There's no such thing as "bad" PR!
  3. And another thing.... ...15,000 of our "hard-core" regulars are going to make more noise than 30,000 prawn sandwich eaters. So get those throats lubricated and let's get us into the Final. "You can stick your 12.15 up your a$$e, You can stick your 12.15 up your a$$e, You can stick your 12.15, stick your 12.15, stick your 12.15 up your a$$e."
  4. I didn't even get that Jimbo - must not have shouted loud enough. Same problem - "flexible" tickets even though I booked on a specific train. Decided to drive. But anyone thinking of catching the train at Reading or elsewhere had better check. Can you imagine being stood on the platform at 9.00, can't get on the train and no other way of getting there? After 45 years waiting I don't think I'd be very pleased. Safer to drive. Or maybe bike - cut through traffic, eh Jimbo?
  5. Forever!!! But enjoy it - I certainly will! See you on the M4 ... unless I change my mind and book into the "expensive hotel" for Friday night!! It's semi final week!!!! ... I've waited a long time to be able to say that! 2-1 Rovers. Happy journey home!
  6. WARNING: ... for anyone travelling by train from London/Reading etc. Booked 2 tickets on the train from Reading as soon as the date was announced. Just found out that no seat reservations have been allowed on these trains and that I definately won't be able to get on the train at Reading. IT GETS WORSE: Tickets are STILL on sale and even customer services are getting p****d off with the number of calls they are receiving. It seems like the plan is to let people on at Paddington on a first come/first served basis....which means that there could literally be thousands of people at the station who cannot get on the train and who can't get to Cardiff by any other means at that time! I hope the Met know about this!!!!! Looks like we may be playing in front of an even emptier stadium than we thought. I hope the FA are really pleased with themselves now!!! BTW - I'll be driving now - so much for a drink or 3 and a great day out! Thanks FA - you t****rs.
  7. Spot on Gav. That's exactly what I've been saying since the minute I jumped in the car for the long trek home. Maybe now I can dream of a final - i'm sure I've got a few more years left.
  8. Been watching the WaggyCam - fantastic entertainment.
  9. Fancy buying me 2 when you get there??????????? send your name and address no problem Just tried to call you but your engaged
  10. please don't do that as i am only a hour away now Waggy, Fancy buying me 2 when you get there???????????
  11. Now - if I was Tris I'd be very afraid by now! Just don't touch a drop on Saturday night - I'm sure Gav hasn't given up hope of attending yet!
  12. Was nice knowing you Gav!
  13. Yep ... you're probably right there. Had to read it twice though!!
  14. Did I miss something here must have gone deaf at the match because I certainly didn't here any booing from England fans. Unlike the Croatian 'racist' chants (and not just inside the ground) that seem to have gone unmentioned. There was a "rubbling" during the opening of their anthem when some people tried to start the booing but it didn't work...and, in fairness, this was in retaliation to their incessant booing throughout our anthem. But it wouldn't be mentioned, would it! As a result of the Croats racist flags at the French game they were checking the wording on our flags on the way in. Had a bit of a problem with the translation on ours - "Wot, No Bovril!"
  15. Ok ... this is real. Just been on uefa.com and bought 4 tickets for quarter final, cat. 1, on 25th June, at Euro135 each. Tickets available for 1 semi as well. Be quick. Again ... I'm serious. That's 5 games I've got!
  16. Yeeesssssss. Tickets here ... come on!!!
  17. Waggy, Swap you 4 for Sweden V Bulgaria for your 2 England V France Now I'll be worrying everyday 'til mine arrive!!
  18. He was behind me too. Can't say for sure although possibly an Arsenal fan hoping to gloat if Spurs had lost. Doubt he was a true fan as he seemed to be cheering on 'Blackburn' rather than 'the Rovers.' Anybody who's prepared to pay £30 to watch the Rovers play in a "meaningless" end of season game is a real fan in my opinion ... even if it's the only game he sees this year!! The more the merrier.
  19. 40 something ... could be 6 but the memory starts to fail at my age!
  20. Tris has basically just said everything I wanted to say. Last night, for the first time in my life, I was almost embarrassed to be a Rovers fan. The completely and utter arse who kicked the Celtic fan from behind - oh, I'm soooo proud of you! The 2 idiots who tried to start "no surrender..." every 30 seconds - brain removed at birth, maybe? How many times - no-one's going to join in!!! The racist bigot - "they should speak f******g English"...excuse me, they're Scottish and probably don't understand a word of what you're saying as well (fortunately). We proved last night that as a team, a club and a set of supporters we really don't understand what playing in Europe is all about. In future maybe I'll reserve my European experiences for away games like Sofia and Celtic - now that's what it's meant to be like.
  21. It's going to be a long journey up the M40/M6 - about to set off as soon as Tris arrives. PMT (pre match tension) has set in big time! Just had a message from BerkshireBlue - game on live in Borneo (3.40a.m. their time) so he's started drinking already! See you all soon - C'mon Rovers!!!
  22. Beat me to it Gav. I would definately have been in Glasgow even if I had not got a ticket. Having been to Sofia I reckon I would go somewhere similar without a ticket also - the game was just one small part of a fantastic 3 or 4 days. The Celtic fans are going to have a great day tomorrow - and best of luck to them. Let's make their visit an enjoyable one - and hopefully they will go back to Scotland raving about Rovers' hospitality and the atmosphere than we can generate on a ground half the size of theirs. I for one would have no objections to Celtic fans adopting us as their team south of the border and every now and then a coachload turn out at Ewood - one way of filling the empty seats!! See you tomorrow - some where, some time. PS Hope Tris has calmed down after his "Rubbish, Rubbish, Rubbish" post - I have to spend 8-10 hours in a car with him!!
  23. Perhaps you should begin too. Might make you realise that all are not as innocent as they profess. As the man who started this thread I can honestly and sincerely say they were not supposed to be smug or snide in any way shape or form. To be honest Ill not be posting again on this forum. Most replies are decent, but the odd few are childish and downright annoying, and I for one cannot be ars*d with them, it bugs me too much. ..........back to the huddleboard for me!!!! All the best for next Thursday and may the best team win (celtic obviously!) :'> Pete, Stick around mate - I may not have posted on this thread but I, for one, appreciate reading the alternative view. We need to know the gossip and feelings from Glasgow before next Thursday. Cheers. By the way - my only criticism of Glasgow? Trying to get a cab to the airport at 3.00 a.m. Friday morning!! NIGHTMARE. Other than that - great time, great people.
  24. I suspect that most of the non-season ticket holders who went to Sofia are exactly like me - exiled in the South or elsewhere...and I bet there were only a handful of us there anyway - we'll hardly have any affect on the allocation. It costs me over £100 to go to every home game - travel, tickets etc. so what's the point in me having a season ticket! The 500 or so who went to Sofia should have priority - I'm fortunate, but I did meet people over there who had spent their last penny getting there ... now how unjust would that be if they missed out on Celtic??
  25. I've just worked out what the delay is...they're printing OUR NAMES on our tickets!!!!!
