  1. Thanks guys, just had news letter. Though have a question. The club has always done consultation meetings as per the EFL guidelines, and I see you are planning one with SW and GB. However unless you are a paid up trust member you must pay £10 to attend? Why is something that has always been free to supporters now going to cost supporters £10 unless they join the trust? Given membership is a few hundred on the trust (a low % of the supporter base) this is not the best way to gain additional traction and should be reconsidered.
  2. It's not my narrative, it's their own quarter reporting. https://in.investing.com/news/venkys-plummets-16-on-poor-q1-show-profit-falls-61-profit-margins-affected-3759071
  3. The reports definition and wording is what I've quoted "plummeted" is the word used. Shares Plummets 16.34% net profit down 60.6% All this has been provided in their first quarter report. Always wanted to use this line. "You can't handle the truth " lol 11% drop in last month. With the size of venkys, that's not chicken feed.
  4. Their own first quarter report, issued in August which I've already posted the link confirms this, not sure why you'd suggest it's a myth given its public record
  5. https://in.investing.com/news/venkys-plummets-16-on-poor-q1-show-profit-falls-61-profit-margins-affected-3759071
  6. They did, they also gave the council a wedge too.
  7. Not in a position to discuss this yet, We postponed twice at our request,
  8. Not quite, see link https://opencorporates.com/companies/je/EXTUID_267139
  9. Always a buyer once their is a willing seller. I'd not worry if these buggered off
  10. I think everyone on this forum in same boat. The info is sketchy, the implications unknown. I have been looking at the new names linked to the Vs , and some old ones too, but will take a while to decipher. I guess for now, it's see what else is printed in India and further questions to our board.
  11. You can buy shares in Venkys its a global listed enterprise. They are not above the financial regulations
  12. They set up a new Venkys overseas in Jersey in January this year (smells of trying to cover their tracks tbh). I would have a guess that they knew then that their local chickens were coming home to roost, Approving the rovers budget 3 and half months later, also suggest they thought they were cleverer. Investigations take months, sometimes years. It does feel rather nice tbh, that the money they didn't spend in August has been reclaimed by others in India. I hope their empire comes tumbling down. We are 148 years old, good times, bad times and rough times. However there will always be someone else to step in, once these shysters piss off
  13. Quite the contrary, their wealth is land and property and if it can be confiscated so easily they won't be sleeping easily. As i mentioned earlier, Venkys is a listed company with shareholders, and shares open to everyone. Swiping 7 million of company funds for their own use if that turns out to be the case will have ramifications on their business. Their share price is plummeting, their sales have dropped off the map. Saving face in their own Country, is very much different to sticking two fingers up to us in Blackburn
  14. Venkys overseas has been registered in UK for 12 years, the same as Venkys London. So my point is, if they are looking at one, they will be looking at the other. No one is suggesting a UK investigation
  15. Venkys overseas only relation to venkys London is the directors. That being said, if they are looking at the overseas company, you can bet they are also looking at London too. You plough £200 million into something which you in turn into share equity and its value don't increase, then its got to be worth a second look by those investigating. Regardless of Rovers statement, we have already seen the ripple effect at rovers during the last two months, with also cut backs and lack of investment into the squad. Doing some research on Zedra, also throws up a worrying similarity in terms of where they do business and office from those darkest days. (Also paper trail of money which PhilipL presented to the Premier League) The newly listed company which replaces the old one too, also list the uk bases director as the person of responsibility. its too early to see where the investigation is going, though I'd imagine the properties seized will be temporary until they pay some sort of fine, which will be a fraction of the money in question. I'd be interested where they transferred the initial funds from given Venkys India is a listed company with shareholders? If this cash has dropped out of there and not personal wealth, I imagine this could be a massive problem, especially with their share prices also on a massive decline and sales being down by 60% I think I read somewhere. .
  16. I thought 1 crore was 10 million rupees? So yeh I'd say that's a lot of cash unaccounted for,
  17. Interestingly they set up another company in Jersey in January, With Zedra Trust also having financial interest and a Stephen guy also listed along side the V's. They were appointed in 2016, One of that companies directors appears to feature in the investigation we presented to the FA. Learnt their lesson? If the Indian government are claiming their assets for dodgy transactions to the UK, is the end in sight?
  18. A great 3 points, fully deserved. Stand outs for me where Travis, Pickering, Hyam and Leonard. We created a lot of excellent chances, kept the ball on the floor and despite the distinct physical disadvantage stood up to all WBA could throw at us.
  19. I'm not sure how others have found him when they have had meeting with him, but I recall my first meeting quite well. Once he opens his mouth, he goes off point straight away and it can be quite challenging to get a word in edge. I recall him going on about a trip to Scotland he had made, and I was scratching my head thinking what's that got to do with the question I asked? Second time around, his answers were not consistent with the answers he had given from the first meeting and it was much easier to probe, as his default answers or schooled answers for a better word, where no longer his go to answers when re-directed. As I said on here the first time I met him, he comes across as a hard working guy, and there is no doubt he puts the hours in. I'm not surprised in the main looking around social media that his interviews have gone down well with a lot of supporters, as this level of transparency is not what most are accustomed to. Whilst many don't use the message boards, and tend to bounce off the twitter trends or facebook groups. So don't read some of the things suggested, posted leading up to the interview to think otherwise. He suggest there is an issue in India, but not what that issue is, or a timescale to when this will be resolved. Is he suggesting a block on operational capital being put into the club, or is he suggesting the operating capital will come with a tax attached thus, the owners are not comfortable in putting it in right now? If they fail at their challenge on this issue, what is the next step? Further cuts? lack of funding totally? Funding will be come and they will just pay the tax?# How will this affect January? Has he already put together a best case/worse case scenario with a contingency plan? How will this affect us at the end of the season, given we have already taken an advancement of the next three years sponsorship? If he simply does not know the answers, how can we confidently spend any of the incoming transfer money without leaving ourselves short later in the year?
  20. Home game to start the season against a beatable WBA, Nice fully new stitched pitch, Should be looking to get 3 points, to get the season off to flyer. I think at this stage, getting through the game with a clean sheet and no injuries would be a solid start.
  21. The rovers interview was good, The second one, was a Prince Andrew interview moment for me.
  22. Good effort from those who gave their time today, Looked like it went well
  23. Highly unlikely, taking family on holiday instead. Given my health, I wanted to have some great days with the kids at football next season and make some memories. we'd made the decision all five of us was going. Then the ticket prices came out, "the one pay day early bird" and that put paid to that. So i've opted to take them all on a memorable holiday. Its been very tough these last few weeks, but i'm determined to get on that plane, and out of principal a renewal is very low on my "to do list" I've been going on rovers for over 40 years, renewed my season ticket season upon season despite the shit show of Venkys, I think i've shown my loyalty throughout. At no point have I ever considered walking away, however i aint paying more for my season ticket, because i didn't renew before the last ball was kicked last season. Where is the loyalty from the club?
  24. If they used the early bird prices of all clubs we are the second most expensive, so its probably best they didnt
  25. I dont disagree with this, I still have not renewed, nor have those who i sit with.
