  1. Well, after playing the PS2 one they have re-built this one from scratch too - in fact, they gave it to their kids and said - you lot build it cos were off down the pub - no scrap that, their kids would have done better
  2. Ha Ha sorry mate
  3. I thought that was Stu Wilky (or is it the same person?)
  4. And which one of the boys are you? (I do realise that you wont be able to reply yet) The Nonda song went a bit wrong didnt it
  5. Right people, the game has been played and at the moment its not good:- When you get past the menu's and into a game and your first look at the players on the pitch the first thing you do is look down at the floor to make sure you havent plugged in your PS1 by mistake because the graphics look like they have taken a step back in time (its not until the replays of shots do the graphics look any good) and it was always the look of fifa that made it stand out. The second thing is the sound. Now, I know that the sound in sports games can be really annoying but this is just plain awful just plain awful just plain awful - sorry about the repetision there but you will start to understand what I went through in the game (when you here 'uncle jacks blue and white army for the first time its cool but over and over again it started to get on my nerves) So sound off and tunes on. Now the important bit - the gameplay. From reading the review in the Playstation mag you would have thought that PES had met its match this year but how wrong they are (I suspect they could have been bribed to write their rubbish) to be fair they have really tried to copy pes with its through balls and movment but they have got this really wrong. You just seem to ping balls all over the place and dance from one side of the pitch to the other before banging in a goal from where ever you like - yes fifa used to be about the 'sweet spots' but now you can really score from anywhere - even the half way line (yes I know you could do that in fifa 95 by chipping it up first but now you can do it just by banging it) They also try to copy PES by the 'player mistakes' however again, this is so wrong. When a keeper spils a catch or it bounces off a defender and goes in you feel on PES that this is a genuine mistake however, on the new FIFA it goes out of its was to make these mistakes - keepers punch it right at the oncoming attaker after long shots. They also still have Kuqi in the team and no Nonda I played my pal and we both confirmed that this wasnt football it was just going through the motions. Leave well alone people (though I will obviously play it again and hopefully change things round) Thankfully, I still have last years pes and the new one on order.
  6. I buy both cos I like them both
  7. Mine comes today but I am sure it is different - the ball dynamics have changes making for a better game Will update when played
  8. Very very happy What was the ref doing though - too happy with the cards - div I cant help but cringe everytime I see Jeffers coming on the pitch
  9. Had they never seen the programme before You either like it and will sit there clapping and laughing because you want too (I should imagine that you would get into it even more if you were on it) or you watch the show, realise its not for you and dont go on and sit at home and watch saturday kitchen or something. Did your PE teacher think they would constantly chat to them throughout the programme? Dont get me wrong mate, I am not getting at you I just dont know what they thought it would be like
  10. Listening to:- The Rifles - no love lost Raconteurs - Broken Boy Soldiers Bluetones - The Bluetones Kooks - Inside In / Inside Out All Good Albums Just listened to a tune called setting sun with a woman singer - is this them? (Sounded good if it wasnt anyway)
  11. Get sky+ mate. Its the future
  12. Out of all the games this is the one that has been confusing me the most. When I saw the first trailer that came out (maybe about a year ago) my jaw hit the ground. I wanted this game. Then as things dragged on and on I forgot about it until it cropped up again in the Official PS2 mag. Now, the pictures that they showed from the game looked like they could have been done on a master system (slight exaduration on my part maybe) It was awful - their review wasn't much better either. Then I see the latest vid that Kammy puts up and again I am puzzled. I am not sure about some of these PS3 games to be honest. Are some of these 'games' just videos? Guess we will just have to wait and see
  13. Very Jealous of you. I have always wanted to goto to something like this - the Mrs isnt keen though. Did you get to see Assasins Creed? That looks awsome
  14. Sounded like it to me
  15. Jeff Steling has just said that Boro do struggle at home against lesser clubs - cheeky git
  16. The problem here is that their weakened team is just as good as any other team
  17. I agree with you there Al. Not only does 4-5-1 make for a boring game but I think that only Nonda could play up there on his own (With Roberts being out). The only things I would change are - drop Oh yeah for ANYONE. And start with Nonda and Benni up front. Keep that for a few games
  18. I sent mine in but when I tried to click the link to activate it gave me an error message but I then received an e-mail saying that they had received my pic? I then received an e-mail the day after the entry date closed to say that I hadnt activated my pic So not sure if I got in or not.
  19. Would you buy your kid this for xmas? If you did, how long before set it on fire - click
  20. Sounds like Sony are getting worried - click
  21. I think that could just be a clever ploy by Matties people to say that he is available to all - come and get him. Personally, I just want to see him playing again.
  22. I was firmly in the sega court when I was younger however, Goldeneye was one of those games that you had to bow down too. The last level took me a while though
