  1. Just a quick reply to that Paul and not to do with sky really: Using the players over inflated wages as an excuse not to renew S.T's, is just that, an excuse. I suspect that if rovers were paying huge wages and were top of the Prem, they would renew. It's not the players wages that's the problem, it's the players performances.
  2. I reckon he's Mickey'sNo1fans Brother.
  3. He's not had a go at me yet.
  4. Oh-ooh. I smell trouble.
  5. Agree with SteB, Gerrard is the main man in this England team. An absolute monster of a player. Pity Houllier always used him in a negative manner. Allow the guy a free rein, there's no one better.
  6. As it says three posts above and has said on the sumer signings thread since early this morning. Since when do the lazy gits at the LET update thier site before 2pm Since 9:27 this morning. link

  8. If he can blend his sweet left foot, with using them both to get back in front of Mickey Gray when needed , then alongside Cole and Stead when required, then he'll do ok. If not, he'll have to get used to the bracing Morecambe air. That'll be an experience for him.
  9. For those of you who don't read the media watch forum, a short extract from fansfc.com: "De Pedro was one of Spain’s stars in the 2002 World Cup but had a disappointing last season in San Sebastián, drifting in and out of the team."
  10. Blackburn Rovers, this morning, revealed that Turkish midfielder Tugay has signed a new, one year contract. Tugay was out of contract at the end of last season and it was reported that one of his previous clubs, Galatasaray, were keen on signing him. His new contract includes an option for another one year. Full story can be seen on the Official rovers website This story is being discussed, along with more rovers news on the forums section of brfcs.com
  11. According to MC, rover's have confirmed the signing of Javier De Pedro.
  12. Sporting Lisbon friendly confirmed. Official site
  13. What Revidge is trying to say, is I think, that this is yet another negative statement coming out of Ewood Park, [assuming of course, that it is a responsible piece of reporting]. Fully agree. Another viewpoint to the argument, if there's no money, there's no money, is that there is another option. Go back to increasing the overdraft again. That is the job of the board of course, but they have to balance the consequences of having a squad that would possibly struggle to stay up again, with the situation of the overdraft.
  14. Skysports Pedersen happy to stay
  15. Any keeper going the right way, would have saved that penalty. Still think England deserved the win because the french were feeding on scraps all night. No doubting though, that on pure footballing ability, the french are streets ahead. We will struggle to qualify now.
  16. Not exactly on topic, but near enough. An article from the Yorkshire post confirming that wolves will sign Michael Duberry on a free transfer and while Wolves will pay him £7000 a week, Leeds will pay him £16000 a week. What a mad mad world Leeds have got themselves into. Yorkshire post
  17. PNE are reporting sales to be up by 20%. Free season tickets to the under 8's is thought to be the over-riding factor. Even so, 20% up after the poor season they've had. They will be matching our gates in the championship.
  18. Only two reservations on this one. 1 He's basically a defender who likes to play OFF another C.H. He picks up the second ball. Much as Tiny and Todd used to do. I prefer to have two C.H.s that attack the first ball, as Short and Amo do. 2 Injuries. No doubting though that he was a quality player at Liverpool and apparently he did well for Leeds last season. So, it will be difficult to bring in anyone better at this time.
  19. Leeds have given rovers permission to talk to Dominic Matteo. BBC sport
  20. The "good influence" bit, was relating to Dickov's training as though it were his last training session ever, and the way he closes defenders down during the game. Gives 'em no time to play the intelligent ball out of defence. I reckon Cole will be here next season, Rev. Souey could have helped a bit more in dispelling these rumours, though.
  21. I can't see how Andressen can complain about the training at Ewood, he looked the most unfit among all of them.
  22. That interview was on roversworld, whereby he was trying to say that Dickov would be a good role model for his younger players. He did include Cole shortly after.
  23. Thanks again Herbegeeh. Direct - meaning club to club, as against possibly agent to club.
