The club say they still have the support of the major creditors. What protection does that give them? How can they withdraw the standstill agreement, yet still support them?
-
So for £9m the club would be free of all debts?
-
Gerald Krasner[sp]? has said that the talks between his consortium have been ongoing this afternoon about a deal worth £9m. Leeds will make a statement at 5 O'Clock.

Philipl, where are you when you're needed?

As for judging Souey, The club have the 8th highest wage bill in the league. Hence, finishing above 8th place is seen as success. Finishing below 8th place is seen as underachieving. Souey knows this, so maybe that's why he will take a look at himself at the end of the season.

Kept on pins and needles?

It's as Slater Scott says, the higher you finish, the more money you get. I actually agree with Slater, but I would wouldn't I, I support a side that's not important to the powers that be.

What's the problem? We didn't score a try, you can't kick it. Am I missing something. You wanna rewrite the rules?

God help any new manager who finds rovers in the bottom three. Instant dismissal Jim? We'll go through them faster than light travel

The key word rover6 - terminal! If everyone on here thought the decline was terminal, you would get a lot more backing for your views. The problem for JW and the fans is: how do you know when it's terminal? If it's something that can be corrected, would you still sack Souness? A straight answer please.

Good point, not something that many of us have considered. He refused to criticise Lucas and is still make his feelings known on the Cole incident, instead he keeps hiding behind comments such as 'the general feeling is...'. Strange comments from a man who is not afraid to say what he feels His analysis of the formation and general frustrations of being a Rovers fan at present are spot on too. I wouldn't hold that against him too much. Ever heard Fergie criticise his own? Said absolutely nothing about Cantona's two footed leap into the crowd at selhurst park.

I reckon the criticism of the 4-5-1 is a little harsh. The way things were going, he had to attempt to change things around a bit, much as tony Parkes used to do. It was his way of getting all his better players on the field. OK it didn't come off, hindsight is wonderful. However, it might have done, I don't blame him for trying.

We did ok last time, if you remember! 0-2 5-0

Do you know anything about negativity, rover 6?

While I'm not in the Souness out camp, I do think the board should come down hard on him for his outrageous behaviour at the saints match. To be shown on T.V. offering Rofe down the tunnel, casts disgrace on the good name of Blackburn Rovers. He should immediately offer an apology to the fans and Rofe himself. Then look forward with a little more humility, towards steering one of Englands finest clubs, out of it's current predicament.

It's still not been confirmed by Blackburn or Chelsea yet, but if, as seems likely, it is true, Then I can only thank John Williams for an excellent piece of business. In today's market £17m is an awful lot of money, and we could have so easily lost Duffer to Liverpool for half that.

Blackburns Chief Executive, John Williams confirmed this morning, that rovers have rejected two bids from Chelsea, for star winger Damien Duff. There is a release clause in Duff's contract, and if Chelsea were to meet the required conditions, rovers would be obliged to allow Duff to talk to them.
