  1. Not only Souness, but every manager that Flitty has played for, have had him as a regular. If he was that bad, surely one of them would have left him out to dry.
  2. I certainly wouldn't do exactly the same, speak for yourself. I never have, and never will, set off to a game with the sole intention of giving abuse to an opposition player. I'd rather support rovers with any energy I had. Still, whatever amuses you.
  3. Can't understand why you will get so much enjoyment, out of giving someone personal abuse? All seems a bit sad to me. Shame you can't think of a better way to spend saturday. Like saving your energy for your own side.
  4. I think we'll wait 'til the end of the season, discuss Souness's position then and then maybe hold a poll.
  5. At the beginning of last season we had 14000. On top of that there would be half season tickets, sold at christmas. Last season saw a 10% drop from the previous season.
  6. You're crackers. you lot.
  7. You've got to remember that rovers don't know what division they will be in next year. They can't do anything until that's sorted. Having said that, I don't think Souey would have gone for him anyway. Lots of prem clubs have had the chance in the last 12 months - no takers.
  8. He's been hoiked around European clubs for the last 12 months. No takers, yet. Can't help thinking there's a reason for that.
  9. Anyone remember him playing for Oxford United, when they knocked a superb rovers team, including Clayton and Douglas, out of the F.A. cup?
  10. Someone's bound to ask you "who"? philipl.
  11. Good post Alan75. Honest as well. I have had my doubts about Souness but always thought that now isn't the right time to be deciding Souey's future with the club. Passions are too high. That decision has to be made in the Summer and the right people to make that decision are J.W. and the board. They have far more insight into what's gone on between the manager and players than anyone on here. I put trust in those people and whatever decisions they make will be in the best interests of Blackburn Rovers F.C. Of course people will have views on the decisions made, that's fair enough, they're entitled to do that, but not yet.
  12. Thanks Philipl, your interpretations of the situation are very interesting and helpful.
  13. On the Carling cup highlights programme last night, Gabby Yorath said that Trevor Birch had been quoted as saying that an announcement would be made on Tuesday. Does this not suggest that the last remaining consortium would have their bid accepted? If they were going into administration, then Birch wouldn't be able to do that, would he?
  14. The club say they still have the support of the major creditors. What protection does that give them? How can they withdraw the standstill agreement, yet still support them?
  15. So for £9m the club would be free of all debts?
  16. Gerald Krasner[sp]? has said that the talks between his consortium have been ongoing this afternoon about a deal worth £9m. Leeds will make a statement at 5 O'Clock.
  17. Philipl, where are you when you're needed?
  18. As for judging Souey, The club have the 8th highest wage bill in the league. Hence, finishing above 8th place is seen as success. Finishing below 8th place is seen as underachieving. Souey knows this, so maybe that's why he will take a look at himself at the end of the season.
  19. Kept on pins and needles?
  20. It's as Slater Scott says, the higher you finish, the more money you get. I actually agree with Slater, but I would wouldn't I, I support a side that's not important to the powers that be.
  21. Matt Monro, a portrait of my love. - A sweeter voice has never been heard.
  22. What's the problem? We didn't score a try, you can't kick it. Am I missing something. You wanna rewrite the rules?
  23. God help any new manager who finds rovers in the bottom three. Instant dismissal Jim? We'll go through them faster than light travel
  24. The key word rover6 - terminal! If everyone on here thought the decline was terminal, you would get a lot more backing for your views. The problem for JW and the fans is: how do you know when it's terminal? If it's something that can be corrected, would you still sack Souness? A straight answer please.
