  1. Good that at least he's getting in the positions I suppose. 3-0 would be swell though
  2. God, be devastating if we let this slip again
  3. Ya. Maybe our scouting network ain't so bad lol
  4. Diaz saw Mitrovic scored 3 ,so knows he needs to score 4
  5. Buckely must have a few assists for Diaz now. I count 3. When he has space he can deliver quality passes that Nyambe could only dream of. Pity!
  6. A cursory glance at Mowbrays selection history would bamboozle an opposition manager 😂
  7. Can see why they might have missed Buckely starting at right back to be fair
  8. Great point. He can't though and probably never will
  9. Not sure Carter is vastly better suited to that than Ayala TBH
  10. Don't see how Ayala being out improves our options to play 3 CBs
  11. I don't think Van Heck looks anything resembling a full back
  12. Not the point. We have been lucky. We knew he was leaving for months and failed to replace him. Which is my point about things not functioning properly behind the scenes. We didn't replace the head of recruitment properly for months. At the end of the day we left it to the last second to try and sign a loan, that fell though. It's good that Gallagher ,Dolan and Brereton have stepped up.
  13. Yep. They are supporting the club, for their sins.
  14. Tricky one to call this..don't see any reason why he wouldn't expect to win it though. Although they have nothing to lose really, stating up would be a bonus. Hopefully we get at them early. I'm going to go 3-0 Rovers
  15. No way that's true. Care to share the source?
  16. Ya, it's not really their thing. They both want to turn and run with the ball. Graham was an absolute master at it though. That's a major part of how he had the career he had whilst being pretty slow. It's a skill.
  17. Looking at the squads here for the Fulham and WBA game. What a squad west brom have for this level. Including their bench they have at least14 players who would walk into our starting 11. Miles behind them we are
  18. No,we wouldn't have replaced Armstrong either way
  19. I agree the ground had been let run down, but it seems there is a deeper issue with staffing. Saw that with the mess of the pitch last winter. Signing 12 players on deals seems to be easier and more palatable to the club to paying fees.
  20. No, you missed the point. I was saying no manager negotiates contracts with players.
  21. Lol Did you not say it didn't matter when we didn't have a head of recruitment in place for what was it? 7 months? Only for you to find out after the fact that we had an interim person in place leading to you pivoting and saying it did matter we had one. Anyway, the structure behind the scenes goes beyond recruitment. Put it this way, if we had a good set up behind the scenes , we would be punching above our weight. We are just about punching to the level of our weight.
  22. Again, you're missing the point. Why would Mowbray sell them when there is A-no guarantee he wil get the money and B-no guarantee we could replace their quality? The club isnt run well behind the scenes. You ca see glimpses of that at times, for example the whole thing around the head of recruitment and how long it took to replace them. Whoever negotiates our deals is either over worked with too much to do, or not great at it, I reckon. Ya,hopefully Wharton is better...
  23. I think what chaddy is saying sounds about right. Do you think Pep or Klopp are negotiating contracts with players? What about say Scott Parker? I have no doubt broad discussions happen with the manager about ball park figures ,but contracts are much ,much more complicated than that. It would be beyond most of their skill sets. Football contracts are far more complex than typical employment contracts so I'm not saying I could do it or anything.
