  1. Bournemouth didn't win it either, or Leeds. I wonder do their fans care
  2. I just said the Championship and League 1 aren't recognized as major honors, this is a fact. The prize in the football league is promotion. I have never once read or heard a Rovers fan complain that Souness didn't win the Championship.
  3. I'd say we could win the double here. I can't open the link, when are the winners announced? I see Raya got player of the month is some other award. Crazy considering he had next to nothing to do in a good few games. You would just wonder did they even watch our games?
  4. Hopefully he gets some ideas how to stop us shipping so many questionable goals!
  5. Well the Championship isn't recognized as a major trophy, likewise League 1
  6. I got it, but I didn't like the way you said it! Yer points are fair enough, but honestly if it meant we were relegated, I wouldn't want us to lose. Too hard to get back ,as we are finding out more and more every season. Anyways, unless Guardiola decides he wants to retire to Burnley, i don't see them winning it any time sure, but as we saw with Leicester, I suppose you never know...
  7. Fair enough. Personally ,if it meant we got relegated, I wouldn't want to lose. Too hard to get back
  8. Norwich and Sheffield united top 2 Play-offs, who knows. Leeds or Derby maybe.
  9. More chance of predicting BREXIT while Venkys are in charge. I hope slow and steady progress culminating in a serious go at promotion next season or the one after. I think it was @Stuart who made the point the other day that we could just as easily be involved in a relegation scrap next year. Which is true. A lot depends on recruitment or the highly rated under 23s stepping up. This division is absolutely ruthless. Hopefully we see Tony becoming a bit more ruthless.
  10. Hopefully we get a repeat of Hull, although I have a feeling it will finish 2-2. Palmer with a 97th minute equiliser. Queue meltdown.
  11. I just hope that Johnson gets the top job here some day, as opposed to being poached by another club. I presume he is on the radar of many bigger clubs as an under 23 coach
  12. "Foreigner" or not old timer, I wouldn't want to suffer a relegation fueled by spite
  13. Sad! Has the time since we went down not made you think that if we did go up, you would never, ever want us to go down again? It has for me
  14. It really goes to show the high esteem Friedel is held in. Absolute legend in fairness. Best Rovers keeper I have seen and probably best I will ever see. Superman.
  15. Very similar layout to this forum. Do ye remember Oxfords last year? You needed sunglasses to look at it Anyway, do they not just have a regular match thread? Pages of discussion about who is going to the game, but little discussion of the actual game
  16. Likewise, but will he? Has it been confirmed if Nyambe was injured, or just left out of the squad due to missing out? Bit harsh if so
  17. Would the following names make the cut in future years do ye think? Tugay(obviously) Duff Benni McCarthy Colin Hendry Kevin Moran Sutton Sherwood
  18. Great if Mulgrew is back, give him the captains armband and get Nyambe back instead of Bennett
  19. Ok ,here is one to redeem myself All things considered, Kean got off lightly.
  20. Ya , all true, but I do think the atmosphere was so bad that it had an effect on the players. Even insofar as them wanting out of the club. Easier said than done not to have an atmosphere while that idiot sat in the dug out though.
  21. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17408147.rovers-to-induct-seven-players-in-to-inaugural-hall-of-fame/ Record goalscorer Simon Garner, appearance holder Derek Fazackerley, and club legends Bryan Douglas, Ronnie Clayton, Brad Friedel, Alan Shearer and Bob Crompton, who led his hometown club to glory as a player and as a manager, are the first seven to be inducted. Friedel ahead of Tugay though? Tough call
