  1. Derby would have to pay us a compensation fee due to Dolan's age and us making him a contract offer. If they can't agree a fee with us, then it will have to go to a tribunal.
  2. That's Pol Valentin at Preston. Valery still at Wednesday for time being.
  3. If we're looking for a Brittain replacement, I reckon we could do worse than Yan Valery at Sheffield Wednesday. 3 goals, 4 assists last year in 40 odd games for them last season. Played a number of games in the Premier League for Southampton, attack minded, tall and pacey. If they're selling Gassama for £2.5m, then sure we could get Valery for £1m or less.
  4. If he goes for £60m next summer and we get an extra £6m out of the deal, Palace would still have had our pants down paying what they paid.
  5. Waggott resigned as a director from the Community Trust on 18 June. Still on the board at Rovers.
  6. I live in Sheffield and Wednesday fans really rate Gassama. Musaba is seen as the inconsistent one, Gassama has a much higher ceiling. Chansiri supposedly prioritised paying wages for the "assets" so they couldn't hand notice in. No chance we get him even if he could walk on a free. Same for Pye. Stockport POTS, YPOTS, PPOTS. Under contract for a few years so no chance. Always thought Nixon was Waggott's pal the way he comes out with this stuff. I reckon it's actually Suhail.
  7. One of the Trust's main focuses for next season has to be building the membership. Mark the 150th anniversary season with an offer of £1.50 for the first year's annual membership (with recurring £10 fee for every subsequent year).
  8. Wasn't there a rumour a while back that David Lowe provides updates to the owners on how the squad etc is doing? Maybe someone wanted him cut out of the loop.
  9. But just remember "the football and commercial side are covered and performing to high standards."
  10. It turns out Elliott Jackson had missed the most recent court order. Wait and see whether it's reported on...
  11. I've asked Elliot Jackson multiple times on Twitter about any plans to report on latest court order. I've shared the link to the order and asked if he's asked club whether the £4.9m has been put in, but total silence. The lack of reporting could be because: he doesn't see it as new news or any change to what the LT have previously reported. he's unwilling to write about it due to potential of reporting it incorrectly (and the legal/reputation repercussions of that). the club have told him that reporting on it will lead to them withdrawing access or not confirming stories etc.
  12. They've already used the emergency payday loans once, no reason they won't do it again. Also, am I reading that ED press release right? That 3.3m that was supposedly sent to VLL for the club was instead diverted to invest in Akon's music company? If that's the case - surely the line that "the case doesn't involve/affect the club" is nonsense. Balaji still hanging out with Akon. He had him at his birthday party in December that led to a bunch of complaints from angry locals: https://www.indiatoday.in/india/story/case-against-organisers-of-pune-bash-featuring-shankar-mahadevan-akon-2647944-2024-12-10
  13. True. The ad shows that far from Suhail being close to the exit, he's consolidating power - shaped the requirements for the next CEO and blatantly stated that the job is CEO in name only. The fact that it says don't worry about finance (Suhail), football (Rudy) or commercial (Yasir) says it all. An absolute shambles and pressure needs to be ramped up.
  14. That ad is seriously depressing. Any CEO with any self respect would laugh at that ad. CEO of a club but don't worry about football, finances or commercial because the three stooges have that covered. Embarrassing.
  15. Yeah, he was at Rovers during the League 1 promotion season. It seemed like he played a massive part in changing the narrative around the club during that season. I think he went to Man Utd and then the EFL after us which shows how well his work was viewed. Although Port Vale a much smaller club in comparison, looks like he's stepped up to Head of/Director level there. Imagine getting qualified people in at that level, instead of some lads who did an internship at QPR last summer.
  16. Not sure if it's been suggested before but could it be worth running a Linkedin ad campaign? Target the ads at Venky's/VH Group staff in Pune. Link ads through to a website detailing issues at the club and asking Raos to sell. It should be pretty cheap to run, highly targeted and get staff talking?
  17. We need to get Elliott Jackson to change his reporting on this court case. He's taking the club's word at face value but as these documents show Venky's have major obstacles to funding the club and we're reliant on the decisions of Indian courts to pay essential bills.
  18. The latest order from the hearing on Monday has been posted. The TLDR (but I may be wrong): Venky's want to send £4.9m to the club. It looks like Suhail sent a letter in March requesting this amount to cover contract and statutory obligations from April-June 2025. The court is allowing partial relief (50% bank guarantee instead of 100%) to facilitate urgent financial support, but keeping in mind the active investigation and national foreign exchange regulations. ED has filed a complaint with the 'Adjudication Authority'. The court will consider whether to remove need for bank guarantees at a future date. Next listed for 5 August 2025.
  19. It is a shame, but he deserves a proper break.
  20. I can't imagine Pasha would have been too happy with this being included in the official highlights from the Wednesday game.
  21. Balaji's son graduated a few years back - if the plan was to install him in any sort of capacity at Rovers then I think they would have attempted it by now. If it is Gestede/Yasir or any sort of "internal" appointment, then pressure needs to be ramped up massively. Get Pasha gone and we might finally have a chance of getting rid of Venky's.
  22. That Pasha's 'model' is put on steroids and enabled by Gestede. "We can't spend £10m on a player" becomes "we can't spend £500k on a player". Being in the Championship is not 'sustainable' so they're content to drop down the leagues and first team is purely a pathway for what's left of the academy to get some league minutes. Cut spending more, sell anything that looks like an asset, leave infrastructure to rot, minimise losses and keep their gravy train going. Gestede thinks he can do what Broughton and JDT couldn't and somehow perform miracles on no budget so he's happy to tow the Pasha line.
  23. No fan of Waggott and glad that he's gone - but definitely concerned this is just Suhail tightening his grip on the club, particularly if lap dog Gestede is promoted to CEO.
  24. I don't think protests inside/outside the ground are futile. Wednesday fans have shown this season, you can make clear your backing for the team and your disgust for the ownership. The yellow card protest, turning their backs in the 10th minute etc - yes, the club can try to dismiss it as just a few angry supporters but it keeps the pressure on them. We all saw how uncomfortable the Pasha Out banner made them and they felt need to finally come out of the shadows. One clear message, change the format of protest each time: Venky's time to go. Support the team, not the regime.
