  1. Sunderland poor. Still, you do what you gotta do and we did -efficiently. What was the average age of the Sunderland players -12? Love us to get in the play offs and win it (no chance) to see the reaction of the stooges and Raos.
  2. Think most on here feel that. It's always nice to see us play well and have a bit of a chant of 'cheerio' to cocky Millwall fans. But we all know the reality. After 15 years though...
  3. Don’t see this performance has got much to do with Ismael. Players self-respect, good pitch, contracts, shop window, dislike of Millwall, Brittain return, Ohashi fitter, Tronstad back to best, keeper. Still, highly enjoyable. Well done lads. Passing stuff worked a treat on a good pitch. Hyam and Baath just the job against rough and tumble Millwall. But you all know the drill. Summer transfer thread longer than Waggot’s Pinocchio statements, LET/Niko comments drivel, contracts not our fault but greedy players, £20 million a year don’t you know, rebuild, new mission, youth a priority (aka we ain’t putting in a penny), court case postponements, press and football authorities with worse vision/memory than Arsene Wenge ….. yada yada.
  4. You can't build anything on a house of cards or sand.
  5. Never seen someone gurn so much on post match interview.
  6. Excellent finish with outside of boot. Sniffer in the box but sadly has to do too much other crap in this team.
  7. Fake news -he was reffing and all refs are rubbish and all refs hate us and all refs should be sacked and then er, we can just ref ourselves....;-))
  8. Drivel. We don't get anywhere near 20k now. We couldn't get less quality of player really -max £1m or so spent recently? Cantwell peanuts. Beck loan? Try harder.
  9. Pasha’s salary+ SWAGS salary/pension +NDAs over the years > recent annual transfer fees?
  10. • You didn’t really think we would get into the top 6, let alone promotion? • You didn’t really think we would spend money for reinforcements in January? • You didn’t really think that once JE had decided he had enough of the crap that SWAG/Suhail/Gestede would appoint a manager of any note? • You didn’t really think that SWAG/Suhail have any agenda other than hitting the Raos’ targets so as to maintain their own pensions/bonuses? • You didn’t really think that the LET would do anything other than tow the party line? • You didn’t really think that the chuckle brothers on Rovers TV commentary would blame anything other than the elephant in the room ie. the Raos and horrendous leadership at the top? • You didn’t really think that players who have no idea about their future, who have no inkling/information/discussion of contracts would run through walls for a new manager who they don’t rate? • You didn’t really think that all the fans are aware of the nonsense that has occurred at this club for the last 14 years (as opposed to the reality that probably 95% of them are oblivious and regard protestors as a lunatic fringe)? Start the thread Jim 🙂
  11. Yep, there with my wife behind the goal looking into the sun if I recall correctly. As said, main feeling was trepidation as things didn’t go to plan –constant whispers about the score. Jubilation at the end obviously –great moment for Jack. Think we were on TV – as it panned to a corner maybe? –but not watched for a long time –too painful in the light of recent shenanigans. Happy days.
  12. Time for Jim to start the relegation thread 2026? 🙂
  13. Summer transfer thread running to many pages....
  14. turgid draw...? edit Gally to have a blinder? It's footy, anything can happen..... ....but one thing is certain, this board will be confident that the ref is a homer... 🙂
  15. As many on here knew, all going to usual MO. Overachieve with good manager early doors. Promises broken, no backing in January, manager leaves. Scapegoat provided by hierarchy, narrative firmly in place and believed –cf. snakes at Derby. Championship safety guaranteed, cost savings made, deflection from owners, SWAG bonus and rise intact. New manager in place, get behind the lads, possible play off place. To come as per usual:- Squad disenchantment, mid table finish, contracts not sorted, assets sold off, new narrative of promoting the young (ie we have sweet FA to spend), we will rebuild in the summer with a new plan. As always, do we have a rabbit to pull out of the hat (ie Sammy/Wharton) to keep the lights on? If not, I would predict just about surviving next season followed by relegation season after. And yes, I will be there. Classic madness 😉
  16. .....of course they should have had a penalty and should definitley have scored a third...
  17. Perhaps ferocious tackles were a compensation thing for being fairies.
  18. Anybody hear the Rovers fan 'Julie' on 606 a few minutes ago? Straight out of LET comments.
  19. 11th manager in 14 years (+ 5 caretaker spells in that time) So generally looking for a new manager in 1.27 years. IV has a 4 year contract 🙂
  20. After 6 min they should have been 1 up. After 26 min we should have been down to 10. After 67 min we should have been down to 9 and game over. They controlled most of the game. (circa 60/40) Our press was poor, half-hearted. Travis was very average today after a good season thus far. I thought big Mak was ineffective today. Their keeper had no saves to make. We had a couple of 10 minute spells where we looked threatening (particularly with Kargbo on the left) but never really had the quality when it mattered. I wonder if the players are saving it for Derby.
