JBiz Thinking a little more about our ‘debate.’ We both agree on SWAG. We both agree Pasha is the main spring of problems (as well as an agency). We disagree on RG. You suggest (I think) that RG doing his best and needs time –it’s down to Pasha. I think I have seen enough (even before he arrived) to have made my criticism I did above. And it is because, (amongst all the other negative stuff people have posted) I think that the relationship between RG and Pasha is not just one way (ie Pasha as the autocrat and RG/SWAG as the enforcer just carrying out orders). I don’t think you can excuse RG (like SWAG before him) of just being a puppet who does what he is told for 2 reasons: 1 I think he sold the idea/dream of the wage structure to Pasha 2 the element of pettiness and aggression in carrying out the new plan The other difference is that you are not prepared to believe (again, I think) some of the stuff suggested by glen and others as you regard it as tittle tattle. On balance, I am. Edit Perhaps, putting it another way - I'm not too keen on this idea that it's all down to Pasha (and don't think for a minute this argument is excusing him) and everyone else is just doing as they are told, carrying out orders. That could be seen as an excuse to let off people like SWAG (I know you haven't though!) or RG or VI. I guess you'll have your moment though if we end up in the top half - the new putsch or alignment will have been seen to work. 😉

Think you are right about the Raos (although of course it begs the question as to why they don't just send a bit of that our way other than the supposed 10m a year). But the Raos aren't interested are they and are not told everything. Pasha and cronies want to keep the plates spinning to earn those fees.

Said a while ago that they probably think they can survive until January with centre back options they have and they will do the same up front. Maybe, just conjecture, they will keep up to 2.5m for January and spend then (if they really have to) -"hey look, be happy, the new regime/alignment spends money in Jan unlike the previous set up with SWAG."

Also, we could argue it was Pasha's decisions and general dysfuntion behind the scenes that caused that. And if you mean JE, I think RG had a large hand in that.

It would be fickle if I had said previously that RG was ok or a good appointment. Surprisingly, I never did.

Not fickle at all. Most here still believe that SWAG was slippery, economical with the truth. Many now believe that RG is worse. 5 years? I see -that's how long we have to give the new aligned plan before we can comment.

Just a few points: -He is 'loans manager.' RG has stated that we are not interested in those, so why is he required? -the club is cost cutting -why not give the role to someone in-house (if it is even required?) Given, that we won't be having any loans, it should be a straightforward job. -the timing is curious no?

Oh yep, I was encouraged at first (and thanks for posting). Just seems that they will be more interested in new applications (but then contradicted by the last para that they could look into existing set ups).

However, it is key to make clear that the ODSE Test does not have to taken by current owners, directors or senior executives and they do not have to apply. Only new prospective custodians will be required to apply for the test. It is reasonable to point out (as we all know) that all financial constraints lead to Pune so RG/Pasha/VI (and those on here) are always going to say they are just carrying out orders –to cut expenditure. But surely the unholy triumverate have taken a more drastic decision to cut even further with no attempt to sell a different dream to the owners –one that could see the owners saving some face and exiting (ie promotion). It seems to me that a radical, arbitrary decision (do the owners know?) has been taken to keep wages under 10k and all the other stuff we know in the hope of what? Definitely, not promotion. League position is immaterial we have been told. Then what? One can only conclude it’s with the aim of treading water, maintaining Pasha’s control, massaging RG’s monstrous ego, maintaining agent fees and the whole merry go round of player trading. It would seem that promotion is not in Pasha’s/RG’s interest –I guess if it would lead to new owners then they know the party is over for them. Easier to keep their masters back in Pune in the dark and keep the gravy train flowing. I don’t know where relegation would fit into their thinking. Not a problem the same circus can continue? And then there is the court case. Do they know that things might be coming to a head so better make as much cash as they can while the party is still going?
