  1. But we are now, er, all singing from the hymn sheet πŸ˜‰
  2. Of course, we both are sensible and know that. My point is a) you should always look to improve but I think there is no intention of this - the intention is budget cuts and league table mediocrity will do. To be more blunt, those castigating leaving players and JE should wind their necks in and remember the league position last season. b) your points will be held by many and of course provide a perfect excuse/cover for budget cuts and the hierarchy -ie if we do well then it's all on VI and RG, the plan was a masterstroke; if we are in the bottom third, well we are in transition, so many sqaud changes etc what can you expect?
  3. Look forward to us improving our league postition then.
  4. Would that apply for the following season or the one after that? Is there any point at which it would become relevant?
  5. For the nearly whole game recently, the scoreboard had Wharton playing...I certainly didn't see him...
  6. Run a book on how many players left on the pitch? How many minutes on the clock before Trav gets a yellow?
  7. The article does seem to appear reasonably balanced -it's the headline that beautifully shifts the blame to the player without being aggressive.
  8. I'm not setting expectations at anything (RG does that I think-he suggested promotion is not of interest to him). I'm suggesting that in difficult circumstances JE got the team to 7th. Given that those difficult circumstances seem to have gone ie. everybody is working to the same plan (not getting fined by Rev), optimism is high, we have younger, speedier, more athletic giants, then you would expect to equal or improve on 7th.
  9. To keep fans onside -we did the best we could yada yada, it was the player's fault, nothing to do with us guv..
  10. So 7th with a manager not backed in January, behind the scenes arguing and power battles. Surely, now that we are all aligned we would expect at least the same or above.
  11. All the best Lewis. 100% given, shithousery generally entertaining.
  12. πŸ™‚ You know how this one goes - transition, lots of changes to bed in, building for the future.....
  13. How do you know this? Another non-judgement that is a judgement. You should be in PR πŸ™‚
  14. Equivocation is a wonderful thing. Who will put it out though -so far the club has used up all the oxygen.

  16. I'm sure they do and don't think they had to try too hard to sell it to Pasha (less expenditure must have leapt out from the action plan) πŸ˜‰ All about delivery then.
  17. I think I would say 'intrigued' rather than excited. Did you leave out a third option? Usual mid-table mediocrity? What I dislike (not referring to you here) is any kind of dressing it up (the new project) in some kind of spurious new football philosophy. The reality is that Pasha wants the budget cut and has the willing acolytes to follow through. It will certainly keep these boards alive -will the new experiment work, come a cropper or plod along. :-))
  18. 8 in 16 out so far? Swing doors revolving faster than a twitter rumour πŸ™‚
  19. Was mooted a while ago on another thread. What would 'working' mean? Play offs? Mid table survival? Promotion πŸ™‚ Prolong the zombie state would be my assessment.
  20. Indeed - (to oblivion and beyond....) All working to slash budgets but remain in the league. (7th last year with rugs pulled but anywhere in the league this year will do.) Gestede has already stated going up is not the target. How do G and VI’s pay compare to that of SWAG and JE?
