  1. Not particularly defending big Mak one way or the other but Cantwell 7 goals, Gueye 8. Frankly, Cantwell is a dick for sniggering and needs to think about his own efforts on goal. Eg that pathetic attempted chip.
  2. Yep, zombie club –lumbering along, alive but not alive.
  3. Yes agreed here. Long thought some sort of simple leaflet/social media page spelling out ‘facts’ and dispelling myths –directly countering the apologist narrative. Keep it simple, cheap. I’m sure plenty here have the expertise for this –where to distribute ect. Eg. Top 10 myths Myth: Nobody would buy us. Fact: simple debunk Myth: Not our fault regarding weather Fact: Waggot presented plans but board rejected etc etc Or Did you know? Maybe 10 of these OR Top 10 facts about the Raos Top 10 facts about transfers Top 10 facts about Ismael’s record
  4. I'm interested in this idea of the Rao's in the distance (who may or may not know/care about what is going on) and those (shady?) figures on the ground who perhaps control things. The rapidity and vehemence of the responses to the coalition's letter make me think of 2 things: First, there must be figures around (not the Raos) who have much to lose and have no hesitation in resorting to smears, threats and in the past violence to fans. Second, that the responses to the coalition on social media are working for the club and probably written/dictated by the club (again not necessarily the Raos). All imo and just thinking out loud of course 🙂
  5. I'm probably missing something but I can only see it signed 'Actual Blackburn Rovers Fans'. Nothing official, traceable, no real names.
  6. Thinking back to my post earlier with the picture showing a reference to the peaceful protests in Parliament Square, it wouldn’t be an easy thing to copy. First, stewards would confiscate any placards. Second, Ewood is a private place so I’m not sure there is any right to protest even peacefully. Third, if maybe lots of ‘senior’ fans linked arms with placards (or even lay down) outside the ground, I suspect they would then get abused by fans who just want to watch a match. I think first base should be a match boycott –see what the appetite is among fans for straightforward action. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Glen (and I’m sure there are many others, now and in the past) for efforts to make this club better. It must be very difficult with an obdurate, arrogant and distant regime willing to use bullying and litigious methods against its own fanbase.
  7. At the moment, forecast if you trust it, says ok tomorrow, rain most of Wed and Thurs, OK Friday, Saturday.
  8. Posted April 4 It's time to go Ismael. I'm not normally calling for people to go so early. I see no passion from him at all, his demeanor is pathetic. When we were 2 nil down so early, he should have shouting at the players. Nothing.. Walking down the tunnel without coming to the fans at full time. Piss poor.. Rovers have to admit they fuck up and sack him.
  9. Thought this would start up soon. Wrote this on Saturday after the game:- Said at the start of the season that we will finish in bottom third despite a worse team and even worse (!) hierarchy. Sadly, if that is the case RG et al will perceive the new 'alignment' as a project in motion and justified. Plus some commentators on here will be at it too -transition, bedding in, kick on next season - we all know the playbook.
  10. Press, politicians, bishops all had a go when the Raos first came and started the damage. Defeaning silence from the owners. Perhaps, there may be a new round of such voices. I keep getting an image in my head of The Black Knight as the last fan going to Rovers shouts "just support the team" only to find that there is no team on the pitch. 🙂
  11. How many 65+ year old supporters do we have? 🙂
  12. BTW For all you keen referee spotters, good job no VAR in the chumpionship -Tavares would have a red for petulance. 🙂
  13. Who is leaving in January? Who is leaving in the summer?
  14. He costs too much and criticised RG and VI for getting rid of JE.
  15. Any team worth their salt has 2 centre halves capable of dealing with a corner.
  16. Has VI held up his list yet?
  17. A few random points. Of course Pears and Ribeiro made a mistake for that corner. But tbf it's not always easy to see through all the bodies who it hits last. Still plenty of time to deal with the corner and we don't. Neither of our 'big' centre halves jump much. Baath is better than either McLoughlin and Miller for winning headers. He would have prevented that goal from the corner. Pears before the corner affair made 2 good saves to deny a goal plus an excellent save from a really good shot in the first half which was moving rapidly and in the air. Riberiro save on the line. You simply know that De Neve is not good at defending. Why not play Pickering? (I think we know the answer to that.) Longing for workmanlike Hedges tells you where we are. On a postive note (grasping) Baradji does look a player to me. Time will tell. On another positive(ish) note I think we will just stay up. Cantwell clearly is a good footballer but rarely scores. How anyone can have a go at Ohashi is beyond me -works his bollocks off, top scorer last season. And yes he misses but that is a sign of where the club is. Seems there are already a few around willing to make Pears a scapegoat.

  19. And his wages are too high.
  20. Oh well. Apparently, if it wasn't for a bit of the rain and the fact that every referee hates us and is conspiring against us, we'd be near the top of the league and we're clearly in a false position. That's what the club hierarchy and some on this board have said anyway. And Pears (despite 3 good saves today). Miller poor on corner.
  21. Just match centre? Ah, yep ok got it.
  22. No watch live option now just 'match centre'. Refund?
  23. Nobody watching, nobody to make those nasty comments 😉
