  1. You'd be sent off within 5 minutes for an old fashioned reducer and for moaning at the ref.
  2. Toth beaten at near post. Bring back Pears.
  3. Maybe Swansea will contrive to give us another by playing out from the back 🙂
  4. Exactly. Knackered from chasing shit from other players. Gud does about 10 times less running.
  5. Have we had enough time to make a judgement on whether the summer transfer dealings/clearout have improved the team?
  6. Right agency, aligned, Suhail's puppet and fall guy.
  7. Rudy picking the team based on cost?
  8. Reduce costs further and tighten deadly duo control?
  9. Such a sad thread and the feelings expressed are so true. I wish all those who have posted at least keep in touch on these boards. Could I add a couple of things? First, the exhaustion, despair, alienation is utterly understandable. But even more sadly maybe, will the Raos/agents/hierarchy care? What worries me is that they will simply think it is going to make their lives easier. Second, the Raos and underlings are certainly responsible for feelings of despair amongst long-standing fans but it is coupled with a change in how fans perceive the game now. Long gone are the days when working class young men (mainly) and their elders would religiously go to the match and once a team had been chosen it would last for life. So many other things now: kids have other options than footy vying for their attention and money; other ways to consume- screens, streaming; gentrification pricing out certain groups etc etc. As said, it’s not easy to get an audience now (winning and team on the up with owners who are present and care helps) and a regime like the Raos and underlings makes it doubly hard: a lost generation indeed.
  10. Yep and that was 8 years ago and 4 years ago.
  11. Chuckle brothers on Roverst TV talking about penalties as a 'lottery' and just about 'luck' Perhaps Southgate and England could have saved a lot of time and money on not employing experts to work out why England kept losing on penalties. After shedloads of analysis they worked out why they had been going wrong and simple techniques to improve (which they did and Kane attributes to much of his success). Did we bother prior to the game? Or maybe we weren't that bothered so that we could concentrate on the league? The 400 who went should be given a free ticket to the next home game -or then again maybe not. 😉
  12. Disagree. Agree materials aren't great (but isn't some of that down to his complicity anyway?) but several managers could get more of a tune.
