Really dislike conspiracy land but with this club’s lack of communication it’s hard not to get embroiled. Did Val already know that no new money would be forthcoming in January and thus his plea for a pitch remedy instead of transfer money is straight out of the club playbook as Rev says? His rant seemed a little long for that to me -he just seems embarrassed and doesn't want blame attached to him.

Nothing yet from the Head of Operations, Head Coach, Head of Football Operations, Head of Football Administration, Chief Operating Officer, Head of Media and Communications and Chief Executive Officer – oh, no, not the last one, we haven’t got one.

Actually, I don't think it is worse. First, the ball does bounce in the clip and travel reasonably well even though the pitch looks horrendous (as did many in those days.)

Made a good save with his leg right at start of second half -but don't let that interfere with anyone's prejudice. 🙂

TBF immediately after the ref called it off the BBE were chanting V's out. That shows a little step forward in the narrative.

Sadly, that fan has died. Agree with all the stuff on the waterlogged pitch/Vs etc. Just on a different tack and the game. How on earth did they not score in the first minute of the second half? (Good save from Pears but their player should have squared it for a tap in.) And more generally, why didn't either side just get the ball in from corners -woeful.

Agreed. But (and absolutely no disrespect here) I am not aware of any players of the top 2 divisions who became refs. Probaly wrong -not sure.
