  1. Is the clock ticking for Rudy?
  2. I think the pitch will be a factor (not that it should be used as an excuse for us –as has been pointed out, we all know the nonsense that has led us to where we are). But I think we do struggle on a difficult surface. I thought Wrexham were fitter, stronger and more coherent as a team and dealt with bobbly pitch far better than us. They looked like a side that had worked hard to get where they are and had self-belief. I also think (again shouldn’t be used as an excuse) that we don’t deal well with high pressure, high intensity, physical football. If you link that with some dreadful body language and players knowing they are going to be sold or want away from a train wreck, then the ingredients aren’t great for success. Cue a win tomorrow. 🙂
  3. Having 2 of them missing will be on his list post-match....
  4. MaraDolan and Dolandinho. 🙂 Glad for him.
  5. "Is this a five minute argument or the full half hour?"
  6. You know the score-we sneak a win or draw-things limp on....
  7. I take all the negatives already been said and most here knew it would probably pan out this way given the er, new alignment. But a few other things:- Tronstad mom? Crikey. He has been fantastic for us in the past - Rev knows it really 😉 but today his body language said it all for me about where the club is at. Others too were at it –throwing arms, pointing, petulant fouls, huffing and puffing. Baradji I thought was our best player –kept the ball well, simple passes to keep game moving, did a lot of running, always showing for the ball, nearly scored. He needs a couple of good players around him to work with imo. Seems I'm in a minority here. Cantwell –agree show pony, a legend in his own head but seems to remember plenty around these parts suggesting that making him captain was an inspired move and how good he was. On this ‘Wrexham aren’t good we are poor’ argument. I thought Wrexham were very good at this level. Strong, quick, good movement. Their front 3 were excellent and worked really well as a unit. Sam Smith won every header and flick on and was strong, Ollie Rathbone as some have said was far more effective than Cantwell, O’Brien was quick and should have scored –they got the ball forward to him really well. Overall, a loss and poor performance. But it doesn’t matter does it – the budget has been slashed, agents are getting paid, Pasha is getting paid and league position isn’t a priority Rudy says.
  8. Not long ago he was being lauded as a player who had the grit that we need (eg at Preston).
  9. Really? He was of course poor for the 1st goal but saved well for what could have been their third. And how does a point work? We didn't score. So it would have still been 1-0 to them. We deserved nothing and got it.
  10. 🏆 @TronstadSondre was named today's @BCLWEB Player of the Match.#ROVvWXM | #Rovers 🔵⚪️ pic.twitter.com/yGiKVsO0xg — Blackburn Rovers (@Rovers) January 1, 2026 What??? He has been great for us but today clearly wasn't -his body language said it all.
  11. Really? I thought so (though obviously the majority including me were not persuaded) -perhaps plenty was the wrong word but half a dozen persistent voices saying that they were excited by all the changes. I remember arguing with them 🙂
  12. Sorry, not read through the early posts here but could anyone give me a link to evidence that the shirt with the maltese cross formed part of our very earliest history? I can see reports of it being 'proposed' at a meeting but no visual evidence and no primary source.
  13. Maybe Pasha on his travels has persuaded the Raos that it's time to release a little cash because he is in deep doo doo?
  14. Plenty on here were excited by the summer.
  15. Meanwhile, Cantwell had 3 chances to shoot last night and failed badly with all 3 (that includes the one that was defelected which was powder puff anyway and woulnd't have troubled their keeper) not to mention an obvious chip in a previous game....
  16. Yep that was my first thought too.
  17. Think we will win. Cue certain posts along the lines of 'crisis, what crisis?' I'm wondering what it will take for Pasha to return.
  18. I'm sure your right KE, it was just the irony of Nixon's (and other) bon mots... 😉
  19. ...experienced domestic centre back... ..didn't we get rid of one of those...because the 'alignment' was to move away from JE's methods and to go for youth?
  20. Anybody else manage to get tickets to the football match that is at Sheffield Wednesday?
  21. oh yes we should be grateful tickets are being sold for a game....
  22. want to reassure fans that the club is doing everything it can, within the necessary operational constraints, 🙂
