  1. Wonderful times, wonderful man. RIP
  2. A few things after the first couple of games. Those not apparatchiks always knew Sam wasn’t good enough (and costly) despite always giving his best. Gueye is clearly an improvement. Let’s hope he can maintain it over a long hard season. Yuki looks class. Attitude, ability and toughness all seem good. Got that scorer instinct. Let’s hope it continues. Travis is brain dead. Needless shithousery and cards. But hopefully will still do a good/necessary job in there with Trondstat. Pears is not the extreme useless keeper as often painted but we do need to find a more reliable replacement. We look like we can concede from any decent cross or set piece. If I were playing us, I wouldn’t try anything too technical –just get it out wide and get in good crosses. We’re not the tallest. JRC –not at the races yet. Fitness generally?
  3. Good luck Sammie. Deserve your move and hope all goes well. Will Dolan get more than 10 league goals this season? Perhaps it may be a case of rather than any one person stepping up to get 25 or so, a few players combined will do the business?
  4. 4 Venky's win the court case and still don't fund any further
  5. Non event. Gulf in class and they have other priorities. Obviously, you have to beat what is front of you.
  6. Not on Sky Go. Not on ordinary Sky Sports (only showing 2 games there). If you have Sky, go to the apps, then Sky and it's on there. Or watch on the app on your phone. https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/sky-sports/id500102120 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bskyb.sportnews&hl=en_GB
  7. Since 1936, 29 years in top flight Since 1936, 56 years in lower leagues Happy to have numbers corrected.
  8. Been reading the SS value stuff this afternoon. Gentleman's agreement? Waggot/Pasha? I nearly dropped a nice glass of Gusbourne pinot noir. 😄
  9. Despite the shenanigans off field we all know about, minimal spend, an opposition who will struggle at this level and looking like we could concede from any decent cross into our box, a keeper who could be better, you’ve got to enjoy a night like that. Trav silky dribbling in one moment (!) and nouty petulance in another, a striker whose first touch isn’t a tackle and to top it all a sublime chip. Early days. Transfer window not closed (loans?), court case, injuries, long hard season. So, probably imo, not relegation (not the greatest of leagues?) but not top half. 10 games in let’s see. Xmas let’s see. As all good managers say after a good win (and also a loss) –let’s not get carried away (either way.)
  10. ....things started to go a bit J G Ballard..... Wonderful. 😃
  11. Did you leave out 'and then retire'? 😃
  12. And of course, not to mention the 'big ones' that left 🙂
  13. More than happy to be corrected -just from Transferwise which I know is often guesswork.
  14. Is this about right thus far? Obviously, still time for loans and so on. Incoming • Batth (33) free • Barrett (22) free • Weimann (32) free • Doherty (18) 118k • Gueye (26) 1.8 mill • Ohashi (28) 1.25m £3.17 mill Other incoming • Travis (return from loan) • Buckley (return from loan) Outgoing • Sam Gallagher (28) 1.8m • Leopald Wahlstedt (24) 1m • Telalovic (24) • Jake Garrett (21) loan • John Fleck (32) £2.8 mill Other outgoing A. Wharton Niall Ennis Yasin Ayari Andrew Moran Ben Chrisene Billy Koumetio So overall spend around 370k? Plus there will presumably be savings on wages. As to quality and whether the team is better, who knows? Time will tell.
  15. Watched without any sound. ‘Count the spoons’ was my first thought. The body language screams economical with the truth. Then managed a minute with the sound. Singing for his supper but the song and tune has all been heard before, polishing a turd for the Rao’s.
  16. He's paid his dues enough at this shitshow, deserves his move.
  17. Yes indeed, just tongue in cheek and always knew I would probably be wasting my money.
  18. Can I get my money back (re season ticket purchase) under the trades description act? 🙃
  19. All good. Win against 23 out of 24 in League 2.
  20. Hyperbole is Rao's and Waggot's speciality.
  21. Interview will be a waste of time and we will learn nothing to advance the club's situation or clarity.
  22. Speedie 1992 Play from 53 mins 😉 George Courtney
