  1. Not for me. If we accept that he is at fault for the first ok that's 1. One top save to prevent a cert goal cancels that out. Deflected goal not his fault. The lob when he came rushing out didn't cost. Therefore, score could have been 1-1. Goalkeeping talk (and I don't think anyone is saying he is a world beater) deflects from the obvious fact that we were on top for a good 30 mins in the second half and didn't have the quality to score.
  2. Incidentally, on Jim's headline -classic newspaperman-cannot necessarily be disproved 😉
  3. We’ve had protests, marches, banners, planes overhead, some not going to matches, chickens on the pitch, snowballs thrown, ironic posts here by the thousands. We’ve also had fans (pregnant and otherwise) intimidated by heavies in the ground, supporters shouting down protesters, stooges controlling narratives in the press, agents threatening legal action. We’ve had in response a press that isn’t really interested, the EFL who wish it would all go away, a fanbase that wants to just get behind the lads, managers who have attempted to shine light on the situation, court cases in India. Result? Nada.
  4. Agreed. Given the lack of what we have, we may as well keep it simple. Get it out wide, no need necessarily to beat the full back, make sure Mak is always on far post (someone else on near), cross and use his height to hopefully win it and pick up the pieces. Full backs/wide players could hit it early and blind if it is drummed into Mak to be there at far post. Forget too much defensive stuff for him, just make sure he is always there in that position.
  5. Funny old game -you never know. We could revert to our early season MO -low block (yes I know), nick a goal and defend like er, something that defends very hard. 🙂
  6. Bless or that's his attempt to wrest control of the narrative.
  7. Death spiral still underway. 1 win in 9.
  8. If true, good luck to him. I suspect he and the players are disheartened by the nonsense above them but are making the best of it and generally work well together to maintain team morale.
  9. Direct from corners -Mulgrew and Gamst. 🙂
  10. Just don't see that. He did seem to dive behind the line instead in front but it was an excellent free kick. Incidentally, when did we last have a set piece taker who could curl it in like that? I think even Robbie Savage could strike a dead ball better than most of our present squad.
  11. Thought it hit one of their players, no?
  12. How does that work? First goal possibly could have done better but good free kick. Second, big deflection. One really good save to prevent a goal. Any other 'errors' didn't cost us.
  13. Can we call it a death spiral now? Of course, it has been since 2011. Or perhaps the usual VLOM –Venkys Loop of Mediocrity?
  14. Really? Poor even for a wind up.
  15. You tell us, you know everything.
  16. Mashed Potatoes Looking at those clubs over the last few years are they really a step up ? Derby County Income 0 Expenditure 4.64 Swansea Income 3.5 Expenditure 5.58 Blackburn Rovers Income 13.4 Expenditure 3.59 And of course, nobody has as more dysfunctional a hierarchy than Rovers. On sackings, yes JDT was too subtle -you could stuff a chicken up SWAG's backside and he wouldn't leave. You'd need to constantly call the Venkys and Pasha idiots in press conferences and you might just do it.
  17. DJ at the ground has a sense of humour. The Who 'Won't get fooled again'. 🙂
  18. The whole of that post is full of contradictions. So you suggesting that if we were to wash our face, the owners are more likely to go?
  19. We have had that (the latter part of the sentence obviously) for several years. How does that get rid?
  20. Einstein's defintion of insanity often comes to mind. 🙂
  21. Yep, you've got to pay to get out of this gig 😉
  22. Why? You going to slap them with a wet kipper? Or will the same happen that always happens -very little?
