  1. I think I would say 'intrigued' rather than excited. Did you leave out a third option? Usual mid-table mediocrity? What I dislike (not referring to you here) is any kind of dressing it up (the new project) in some kind of spurious new football philosophy. The reality is that Pasha wants the budget cut and has the willing acolytes to follow through. It will certainly keep these boards alive -will the new experiment work, come a cropper or plod along. :-))
  2. 8 in 16 out so far? Swing doors revolving faster than a twitter rumour πŸ™‚
  3. Was mooted a while ago on another thread. What would 'working' mean? Play offs? Mid table survival? Promotion πŸ™‚ Prolong the zombie state would be my assessment.
  4. Indeed - (to oblivion and beyond....) All working to slash budgets but remain in the league. (7th last year with rugs pulled but anywhere in the league this year will do.) Gestede has already stated going up is not the target. How do G and VI’s pay compare to that of SWAG and JE?
  5. Nice idea, we'll get back to you on that...
  6. As it stands, Rev. And I wasn't discounting the sale of JRC -Euros 870k
  7. Is this a five minute argument or the full half hour? πŸ˜‰
  8. As it stands, we do seem to have spent more than got from outgoings this window. Bear with me. I'm discounting the shedloads from Adam etc, sell on fees for Raya etc. Also, the plenty saved on wages. Thus expenditure just this window circa euros 7.732m. Incoming this window circa euros 3.87 euros (assuming for a round number 3m for Brittain). Now they may just be happy to fund this 3.86m gap but with a week to go in the transfer market, and given previous, then to plug the gap it would seem clear that some β€˜assets’ will leave: Travis? Buckley? Pears? Leaonard? Hyam? Tronstad? But surely too soon. And in case it is not abundantly clear, I think that not reinvesting some of the incoming over the last few years tells you all you need to know about this club.
  9. Haven't we tried that one before? Edit apologies BRFC -you were quoting Christopher.
  10. Nonsense. More like he knows about plenty of brickbats he has received here and on social media regarding his ability. He knows he is going nowhere. And for the record, I think he is a good pro. Always works hard for the team and any given manager, sometimes looks less than average (cf all the criticism on these boards recently) sometimes produces top finishes.
  11. For the record, disagree -or at least don't get all the hyperbole about the lad. Time will tell.
  12. Was it the use of the word shite? πŸ™‚
  13. Agreed. Perhaps realised that his mate is going and not much he can do about it so better just get on with it? Body language much better. Needs must I guess for a pro. Shop window too for next year?
  14. Here's a thought. We get into playoffs but don't go up. What's wrong with the project, we nearly did it. On no money. Pasha and Gestede are great. Let's continue the project. What are you all moaning about. I'm shivering.
  15. And so... a great win, all agreed (and I do too.) And so, not missing any of the outgoings, incomings an improvement, all an upgrade, all pulling in the right direction. Er, ok, can I get back to you?
  16. I’m with dallyduncan (I think it was that poster) and was going to post as such before the game (honest) ie. classic Rovers –logic suggests a struggle away, but we give them a tonking. Amusing really. These boards were in full blown pessimism of late (and not without reason). Hedges? Shite. Kargbo? Head down, shite. Montgomery? Shite. Tavares? A bit shite, can’t go a full game. Cantwell? Shite, show pony, flatters to deceive. And up we pop today, classic Rovers, they all click and play to their full potential. Long season. Pessimists and optimists will have their days. But no mistaking the shite at the top. Most agree there (although some ignore it and are happy to espouse the club orthodoxy). For the record, I’m sure you realise, I’m of the pessimistic slant. You’ve gotta love today but really just a plaster on gangrene. I get it that some can focus on what goes on at matchday and screen out shall we say political machinations (and I can do that too). But the canker is always there for me, always taking the gloss off. Apologies for such churlishness and I certainly don’t underestimate the effort of the lads on the pitch.
  17. EI about 4.5 hours ago. There's the Ryan Hedges we know. Hendrikson laid it on a plate for him - that's an impressive miss.
  18. Ok aside from the results πŸ˜‰ Well, let's see how the transition plays out, how players bed in, time needed for the new project.... ....sorry, lapsed into clubspeak there.
  19. That would be the utterances of Pahsa, Gestede and their acolytes/stooges.
