Whereas in the real world, we'd not won in six and are 6 points off the pace. We'd also gone on a longer winless run a matter of weeks before. Sadly, no, nay and never going to happen because he faffs around with the team when all we needed was consistent selections and players in proper positions...he can't help himself and doesn't use the potential at his fingertips. He did it last season too and really should have cottoned on by now.

There is a large section that really afford him more time and excuses than any other Rovers manager I can remember. Often, they make out we are a tinpot League One outfit who are lucky to be in the Championship having spent a pittance and we are 'consolidating our position' . ...whereas in the real world, we have massive outgoings, spent millions on new players, have a shaky defence and similar-sized teams like Sheffield Utd, Wolves, Southampton and Leicester thought "to hell with consolidation", let's be bold and employ someone better and get promoted. Now they are lightyears ahead of us.

I was being overly cautious classing the first team squad as 30. We know it clearly isn't - it's much less. I agree, Downing, Holtby, Gallagher etc. will be on more, again I reckon around 15-20k. Again, I think Chapman will safely be on around 8-10k with him being a first team squad player and nothing suggests otherwise to me. Wasn't Rhodes on forty odd grand a week (before bonuses) not so long ago?

Dack, Graham, Mulgrew on less than 20k? I very much doubt that too - unless they get bonuses for breathing and blinking ? I still think people are underestimating. Do we know the total wages? They were cut down to about £16m a couple of years ago. Divide that by 30 (safely say 30 are on decent contracts) and that comes out approximately 11k each. Some will be on more, some less.

A number of League One players at Bury were on 8k a week. Championship players at Blackburn Rovers who didn't come through the youth ranks won't be on less. I think people are very naive in terms of what players get, even at our level.

Exactly this. Pure frustration for me. Too many supporters think that we are a lower to mid table side - we aren't. The tools are there but either don't get used or we utilise them wrong.

My gripe is I could see the real potential in him but the manager chose to go with a thirty-odd year old midfielder in his place. He would've been playing like this much earlier in the season - given the chance.

Yeah I did tbh and I'm usually a harsh critic of him. He kept doing some good runs into the box, good strength, barely fell over, had one decent left foot shot saved and then after we posted, took his goal really well.
